Hmm my 360 isn't redringinging, but sure isn't working. I won't read any of my games, ( i've tryed them all out on my friends 360) so maybe its the scanner..but the problem seemed to happen when i tryed to DL an update for GH3 in live power went out and from then on it saying every game is unreadable. Anyone know what i can do? or what the problem might be.

I've been thinking its either the HD or the scanner.

I'd go with the eye... try putting one of those cd cleaners in the 360 and see if it works... if not you're screwed anyways so send it to MS.

My ps3 took two days (they said 2 weeks) to return when I sent it in after about 3 weeks of use. I got a refurbished one back so..

If it takes longer than 2 weeks to return, shit luck on your part.

In Spokane, Washington, a 20-year-old man was arrested on felony stalking charges after chatting to a 15-year-old girl on Xbox Live and eventually threatening to rape the girl and her sister.

Joshua Stetar of Saratoga Springs, New York met the 15-year-old girl through chatting and playing Halo online since last year. He reportedly sent packages and flowers to her home, all of which her parents returned. He also began text messaging her several hundred times on her cell phone, forcing the girl’s mother to change her daughter’s number. However, Stetar was able to get her new number, and the he continued to text message the girl.

At around 9:00pm Friday, Stetar sent a text message saying that he was driving by her house at the moment. The girl’s parents in fact saw his car drive by.

At 9:36pm, Stetar sent another text message stating, “Tell the cops that I’m gonna rape you and your sister.”

The girl’s father called police, and officers found the suspect staying at a nearby Econo Lodge motel.

During a police interview, the suspect admitted that he was able to obtain the girl’s address and phone number by “Googling” her name. He also admitted to driving 40 hours straight to get from New York to Spokane.

Stetar was booked into Spokane County Jail on one felony count of stalking. He was released on bond Saturday.

The 360 isn't THAT bad and the technical issues are not THAT frequent... most people can have a 360 for over a year without anything happening to it. The ones that get the RRoD are usually old batches of 360's that have just been played for too long (and frequent long sessions would do that too eventually, but that can be said for the ps3 and wii also.)

The ones they're selling now & shipping after fixing are very reliable.

I think if you get a newer one with the falcon mobos in them they are pretty reliable, and run cooler as well etcetc.

The 360 has only been out for a couple of years.. that's why I only said one. Obviously there are some people that still have their 360 from launch.

Baught a 360 at launch and it is still running strong to this day. Have done nothing to it and have never had an issue with it except for when i was playing bioshock and the back ground froze. I could move around and get killed by enimies i couldnt see cause the background was stuck. Restarted the system and it was fine. And i use mine for DVD/HD-DVD duties too. Co-worker was standing in line for his 360 right behind me when i baught mine. His spends more time getting repaired than played -.-

Same co-worker gave me 1k for a PS3 i stood in line for at launch. 2 weeks ago his 5 year old dumped a plate of syrup coverd pancakes on the lid. It smelled like burning syrup fo a couple days after but it is still running strong today. The other PS3 i baught at launch and kept for myself ended up getting returned to Sony cause the fan wouldnt work, then the drive quit working, then i threw it through a wall. 3 weeks ago i baught a 80gig and sofar its working fine.

Wife still has her Nintento, PS, LaunchPS2(FFXI Machine) and i still have my Atari and Commadore 64 along with a gateway laptop i baught in 94. Hell i Still have my dads TI Calculator he paid $1200 for back in 72(i think).

It used to be you paid for Quality....Now you just pay for a chance at shit lasting

Pretty strange, lol.
I guess everyone just gets unlucky so to speak with a poor build system sometimes.
Plenty of friends had major issues with their PS2s, but mine is the original one from launch, still going strong - used for DVDs and never had any problems playing games with it. A common problem with PS2 is the DVD reader, but mine has never had any issues with that.
On the other hand, the original PS was brutal for me, went through like 2, one of em was scratching discs, the other one just stopped working and wouldn't turn on. Hopefully we will have better luck with 360 once it gets repaired.

360 is the new PS2 imo. I remember the whole "Disc Read Error" being a pretty big deal a few years back. It probably wasn't as widespread as the 360 dilemma but PS2's did break a lot.
