    CD/DVD Boot Failure

    I just built a PC today, first time I turned it on it said "CD/DVD Boot Failure - Please insert disc and press enter."

    Is this most likely my inability to correctly connect the power supplies, etc. or something else!

    No OS has been installed yet for obvious reasons (I can't!), but yeah, what's the diagnosis?

    if you're able to see the drive in the bios, then the media you're trying to boot is well...non-bootable. If it's a windows cd, you prob burned the image incorrectly.
