Started a few nights ago. The desktop Icons I usually have aren't there, and I can't seem to right click on the desktop at all. Everything else works fine. I can browse pages, I can open up items that are on my desktop in the Windows Explorer "Desktop" folder just fine as well. I use Windows XP Home. This is really starting to irk me, so if anyone has any clue of what may be going on, or what I could run to solve this issue let me know.

Stuff I have done and I'm sure aren't the case: Checked "Display" (since I can't right click to go to properties and all), System Restored, shutdown explorer.exe via Task Manager, and all that. It's basically like I'm locked out of my desktop for some reason. I still have the desktop background image, just I can't do anything there. Also, when I double click in my desktop area, it opens the start menu. D: So yeah. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.
