Delta Strike II (San d'Oria) Confusion

I can't seem to figure this out, a friend and me are having trouble keeping the goblins spawned. Get the mission, go out to I-5 and spawn them, engage and fight. We've tried going after one each, we've tried engaging both so they attack back, then try to kill one as fast as we could. I've read that you can't pull them apart or they despawn, but we haven't moved them at all any time we've tried this. They randomly go yellow while we're attacking them, and they depop for no reason shortly after 30~45 seconds of fighting. Bug/Glitch or am I doing it wrong?

The only thing I've found online is a reported rage timer, and not moving them apart. Nothing that would help with this.

Issue regarding Campaign Ops (Dec. 25)

We have been receiving multiple reports regarding an issue where players are unable to complete Campaign Ops due to monsters in "Delta Strike II" and "Delta Strike III" disappearing during battle.
