No, not playing every team is as draining as playing the pats. Have you seen the way teams play the pats? Do you honestly think teams play like that 16 games a season. 3-12 isn't a coincidence.

So all in all, Vince has a higher completion percentage, and a longer touchdown throw, but statistically came up worse in every other QB catagory, yet he's better then Rivers? There is also the question of how healthy will Vince be for the playoff's as he did have to leave hurt in the last game, and god forbid if kerry collins has to start.
Right now Vince has the potential to be very good, but right now all he is, is another michael vick style QB who can run like a running back, but can't throw like a real qb.
4 games ago, I would have picked Seattle to win vs. the Redskins.
At this point, I'd go with the Redskins by 3. It's a Gibbs team going into the post-season healthy, motivated by tragedy (look what it did to the Saints the year of Katrina, though Sean Taylor <<< New Orleans), and finally having found a QB it hits with all cylinders on. They've had close games all season, but the mood of the team's gone from "Just missed it" to "Got it, done.".
Who'd have thought the backup was going to be so much better than the starter?
1.) This is a playoff game being played in a playoff atmosphere. I think we both can be sure the Giants won't come out "emotionally drained" for their next game.Originally Posted by Tyche

2.) 4 of those wins were against Miami/NY Jets. The 2 worst teams in the league. Bufallo had to play Jacksonville the following week and Baltimore had to play IN Indy. All these games were expected losses.
3.) 3-6 is a coincidence.
So since the Giants were favored in 5 of those 7 road games they won (the two games they weren't favored was less than a 3point spread), can we completely dismiss that stat since they were favored? Oh the irony of pointing out fallacies in my trend, then having that same fallacy in your's.Originally Posted by Deejay

Maybe last year he won TN some games. This year the only person who has been winning TN games isn't one person, it was the defense. 9 TD passes all year and what is it 17 INTs? With how our RBs fumbled last game on the Colts 2nd Defense, I am scared. VY doesn't have the swagger he had last year about taking on the world, you can tell by the way he runs.
Which is why I stated from the beginning that the game is basically a coin toss.Originally Posted by Tyche

Tampa can stop the run and they have one of the few CB's who isn't afraid to push around WR's. Derrick Brooks and those key players on that defense show up in the playoffs. Jeff Garcia can scramble in the pocket which means he'll be giving our D-line a hard time. I hate Jeff Garcia but the man has our number. I'm really displeased with the way Ross has been playing and I hope he stops getting Moss'd during the playoffs.Originally Posted by tyven

To be honest, Plaxico has started to practice. He practiced last week before the Pats game. So Eli and his favorite receiver, since shockey is done for the season, are going to be on the same page. Plaxico looks good and I don't expect the Giants to go down easily. Yeah Tampa has some nice corners, and they can stop the run, but Jacobs is a power back who can get it done even if its 2-3 yards a carry.
I'm expecting no more than a 3 point difference in deciding the winner of this game.

From the beginning, the only thing I've been trying to say is that the Pats had nothing to do with your 3-12 record. The outcomes of those games were all expected to happen regardless of them playing the Pats the week before or not.
The Giants winning 7 of 8 road games damn sure wasn't expected after their 0-2 start, and it doesn't all of a sudden mean you shouldn't give them credit for it. They played those games themselves and they won themselves. Good teams win all the games that they're supposed to win, lol. Which proves my point even more when said good team beats said bad teams after they played the Pats. You're talking about not giving credit for teams winning games yet you want to lay all the credit to the Pats 'draining teams?' l-o-l
And you're talking about me contradicting myself?
Cept the giants were expected to win their road games. They were favored...you tried to discredit me by saying my teams were supposed to lose, but you try and justify yours by the same logic.
So what are you saying? If the Giants were supposed to win those games and the Dolphins/Jets/Baltimore/Bills were already supposed to lose theirs than I guess your Pats record means shit? If you think the Giants only deserve credit for beating teams theyre supposed to beat than the other teams deserve those losses for not being better than the team they played, not because the Pats drained them lol.
No, what I said is that if my stat is shit, then, by your logic, your's is as equally shit since the giants were supposed to win. As I said, you tried to discredit the 3-12 record by saying most were supposed to lose anyway....then you say "well, the giants are 7-1 on the road, that's a meaningful stat", completely oblivious to the fact that they were favored in most all of their wins.
Tyche, clearly the only stats that aren't BS are the ones that support Deejay in any argumentOriginally Posted by Tyche

Theres a difference between winning a game that you're favored to win than losing a game that you're already supposed to lose because the team you played the week before was "really hard."
Edit: Viq, try understanding my point before you start making assumptions.
Here's the spreads and betting distribution thus far for wildcard weekend. Titans +9 looks really really goodAlso, how the hell did pitt open as a 1 point favorite.

@Deejay. I don't think either stat posted is a bullshit stat that is a complete coincidence. I was trying to help you realize the irony of dismissing my stat and justifying your's. Despite being favored in most of your road games, winning them is an exceptional feat. And if you payed any damn attention to the way some of the teams played after playing the pats, you'd understand my argument. You think huge emotional ups and downs don't effect your play a week after a game? Jesus, have you seen the record for the superbowl losers over the past 10 years? That's a year later. I guess that's a complete coincidence as well.
