Iran has put out hoaxes about AIDS cures before. This story was reported by one source that has ties to Iran's judiciary, and another source that is known to be linked with Iran's office of propaganda.

Let's just say I'm a bit dubious until real science is done on this, if it even exists. Saying "Oh, we tested it on 200 people. It's cool." =/= scientific methodology.

I'm surprised no one has said it yet, but need I remind everyone that AIDS isn't a homosexual disease? It seems to be most commonly passed among homosexuals, statistically, possibly due to lifestyles or habits common among homosexuals. But it infects heterosexuals just the same.

Some of the statements on this thread so far make it seem as if it's impossible to catch it if you're straight, because only gays have it and if you're straight, you won't be having sex with gays and will therefore never get it.

I figured that this was self-explanatory, seeing as statistically in the world the number of heterosexuals infected vastly outweighs the number of homosexuals infected. Not to mention, of that massive 200 person sample group, none were homosexuals anyways, because there are non in Iran. Amiright?

One of the reasons Iran refuses to admit there are gays in there, is they count it as a gender identity disorder and the Iranian government pays for decent portion of the surgery cost.
