Ruke (addressing thread): I can understand both points of view in this thread, however in the end I feel they're on the same playing field (especially comparing WAR/SAM GA vs WAR/NIN) and you can use whichever one you want.

Aurik (addressing Ruke): Anything not /NIN fails.

Ruke (addressing Aurik): I'm not discussing /NIN vs /SAM and neither is the OP or anyone in this thread, I'm talking strictly about damage output.

Aurik: You supported Blackice, therefor you support his view that GA is superior. My logic is that WAR must tank because merit PTs need tanks, and that you need /NIN to do this. Let the flamewar commence and lets ruin this thread.

Ruke: I was not defending or supporting Blackice in any way, and we in fact have completely different conclucsions so I don't see how that's possible. And, using GA with WAR/SAM doesn't disgrace the job of WAR, it is a viable combination because WAR's sole job isn't tanking/DDing.

Aurik: I didn't say you supported Ice. WAR/SAM can't use Utsesumi so WAR/SAM is irrelevant to all discussion because a WAR without Utsesumi will never work and do their job. You blustered into this topic and turned it into a SJ war.

Ruke: You very clearly implied I supported Ice somehow, and our posts clearly have different conclusions. So what are you digging for here? And since when does a good merit PT always need Utsesumi? It's not the end all be all spell for anything successful. A WAR can be as much of a dedicated DD as a tank or a combination of both. I did not start this SJ war, you did.

You must be stuck in a fantasy world where healing isn't a problem and there are 2 sources of refresh, because you're wrong and every PT needs Utsesumi to work. Seigan will not work as a substitute. Again it's your fault this is turning into a SJ argument.

In the end I feel that bother are just as good gaxe and ridill, I can attain 100+ chains with either well equipped (hopefully the ridill war is at least -_- while the gaxe one is more attainable to everyone) and really in the end as long as I'm getting high xp/hour rates on my COR then I'm more than happy.
