Anyone know his pop conditions? I'm thinking about trying to camp it since I'm always buying shit tons of skins. I know SE changed it a while back when noone really fucked with it cause RMT camped the shit out of it but now it seems there's really no RMT there and more 'legit' players are selling skins on ah. I tried looking on KI but couldn't find anything on the pop conditions and the only thing I know is that it can pop anywhere in that main crab area to the cactuar/spider area. Anyone know a thing or two? D:

I think it's just a lotto off of 2 (or more?) lizards now instead of 1. Much like Lizzy.

I used to in Kuftal.

Before RMT countermeasures it used to be just 1 moving PH that could spawn in ~5 different places across the room. After the adjustment, I stopped camping because RMT just overwhelmed it and ticked me off. Not to mention this adjustment made solo'ing it almost impossible.

My information on how Amemet works after the adjustment is shitty since I stopped camping it since, however from what I do remember of what they changed... Amemet could spawn anywhere in that room, in addition to being able to spawn and path anywhere in the circle that Guivre follows. I can confirm both seeing it spawn Spider area, and seeing it path up the slope from the main room, past crabs and a scorpion, left at the first slope and down into the spider pits, and through either the middle high-rise back into the main room or the long way all the way around back into the main room (I don't remember). I think it was the middle high-rise.

I'm not sure if they changed it again since then. However, I feel pretty sure Amemet is just 1 PH. I've never seen back to back spawns within ~2 hours, and before SE started with the mass bannings for third PT tools the group of RMT notorious for botting/POSing would only kill one Lizard over and over to get it to spawn. This was a lizard beyond the rocks, towards to slope up to the center.

But again, not sure if they changed it since then.

I know that path still exists from about a month ago. I was working on senji latent for my mithra and saw a lizard walk up behind me (by the scorp+crabs). Thought it was odd but at the time didn't know they changed it. Noticed it was amement after he walked right by me. Got two skins out of it. XD

Hmmm alright I guess I'll go on BST for widescan and I can craft them on the spot <_< ... maybe I'll bring THF for TH (but it's always 1 skin, sometimes 2/3?). Theres a shit load of pets in the area and unless he hits like a truck I'm sure it'll be an easy solo for me @ 73.

I got amemet the same way once. I was on 70 brd/bst throwing crabs against spiders and skilling up sword for my maat fight, and amemet just walked right by me and kept going, so I quickly released my crab, charmed the spider, and threw the spider against it. Took it down to about 60% before rmt tracked it down and stole it on a pet swap

Amemet has 2 PHs, but only 1 will ever be up at a time. One of them is behind the rock, and one isn't.

If you arrive there and all the lizards are up, but there's only 2 behind the rock, then the PH is out in the open area (it'll wander around the entire open area where lizards are, and actually can wander behind the rock, although this is rare).

If you arrive there and there are 3 lizards behind the rock, one of the 3 is the placeholder. It's random which will spawn next round or whether it'll be Amemet, and he can spawn as quick as just over an hour to as long as 6-7 hours or more if you're unlucky.

When he does spawn, he can spawn anywhere on Guivre's traditional path, and he will start walking. He can change directions at any time, and the direction he starts walking after spawn is random also. He's a pain in the ass to camp with any competition but if you're down there by yourself it's quite easy if you have widescan (to track PH) or if you're into DAT editing. Just time 16min from the death of the PH, and if neither of the 2 PH lizards spawn, you'll know Amemet has, and then you can scout around for him.

He's still very soloable on NIN, MNK/NIN, THF/NIN, RDM/NIN, WHM/NIN, pretty much anything that can enfeeble him or evade him decently. Just have to remember he can petrify so turning often is pro if your evasion can't handle it (NIN and THF don't have to turn, nor does RDM due to shorter petrify length).

Damn I wish read this 20mins ago ....


Anyway, like the above post said there were 3 Lizzys behind the rock (I didn't know the 2/3 thing) and I was just killing them on BST and fishing for mantas on THF checking widescan every couple minutes. Saw it was up .. tracked it and got lost getting to it like 3 times cause it kepted moveing <_<. Got to it, realized crabs and lizards werent gonna be strong enough to take it down since they got owned (hits pretty hard, not gonna lie) in like 1minute and did little damage so called Carrie out and kited it downstairs. Threw raptors on it and a Carrie to rest MP at one point but it was pretty easy shit ... none of the other people tried to KS which was cool since some noob LS that was skilling up upstairs (Sup, HNMGaurdians) did KS me and ended up wipeing/zoneing. Threw THF on it at 5%, 2 skins.

It is just as hard as it used to be, however his new pathing area makes it incredibly difficult to pull without linking or agroing spiders/crabs/other lizards on pull or over the course of the fight. If you're camping it alone this isn't so much of a problem since you have plenty of time to make a safe pull and fight it in a safe location, however if you have competition it makes it almost impossible to be so lucky since the typical RMT team can throw anything they have at it as soon as it pops regardless of whether they link/agro the entire floor and still be fine.

This is what I was referring to when I said it's a lot harder to solo now. Not because Amemet is harder, but fighting just Amemet is.

I would try to get a THF if you can, I'd say the difference between no TH at all and having a THF is pretty worthwhile.
