Quesada, you've pretty much called us idiots and made it so every Spiderman comic we have bought has been invalidated. I would have whined if you killed MJ, but this is unforgivable. Civil War - Peter unmasks in front of the world on television
Post Civil War - Kingpin orders a hit on peter, guy hits aunt may instead, she lands in a coma. After some time passes she dies and I guess peter strikes a deal with the devil (mephisto) to bring her back to life, the stipulation being that basically mary jane and peter never got married and the only part of them that will ever remember it is a part of peter's soul so that he can live with that pain for eternity. Peter and Mary jane argue about it but ultimately decide to do it to bring back May.

May didn't even want to come back, fuck that shit.

It "fixes" some shit in the marvel universe but it also essentially dicks with a fuckton of storylines in the last 20 years. They took away his extra powers, it pretty much should have stopped the civil war's push dead in its tracks, at the very least it probably shouldn't have gotten to the point that it did with Captain America dying. Iron man's support wouldn't have been nearly as great as it was if Peter never unmasked. Peter should probably be back in the black costume (which is something I personally love so meh), Harry's back (and that's one I didn't see coming), he'll probably be back in the bugle, somehow he's still an avenger though...

This is one of the few times I'll actually join in on Demos' Marvel bashing. I could forgive Civil War and Cap's death and other things like that, but this is just horrible. I threw this one away as soon as I finished it.

Also, anybody catch the most recent Ghost Rider? The one that Quesada hyped up as "The biggest earth-shattering breakthrough for Ghost Rider ever."? It was just as bad, if not worse. It seems like they really just wanna shit all over what they have going these days.

I don't like what they've done to sort to restore some sort of actual conflict worth a damn in the marvel universe but I did accept the necessary evil to actually tie it together in a way much more intricate than just passing mentions. This is just fucking going out of their way to destroy whatever resolution they had for the sake of conflict. I still dont even get how the civil war's effects even exist anymore.

This retcon also happens to shit all over Harry Osborn. It's cool that he's back and all, but his death was really nice, and now it never happened. Way to go, Marvel.
