We did K-5 as Elementary, 6-8 in middle school (it's now 6-7 middle and 8-9 junior high) and then 9-12 in HS here in Michigan where I grew up.
In Connecticut it's
K-5 Elementary
6-8 Junior high
9-12 High school
Home school ftw though :3
Same in Texas, except junior high is just referred to as middle school.Originally Posted by Noobta

You guys and your distinctions, for International School (Indonesia/Hong Kong) we had 1-7 Elementary and 8-12 High School, or something along those lines.
On topic, don't take hoodtalk for![]()
Australia :
Kindergarden - Year 6 = Elementary school. (We call them Primary Schools here).
Year 7 - 12 = High School. Compulsory high school ends apon completing the 10th grade, 11 and 12 are optional.
damn, so by that logic I would be a fuggin graduate and not have to have sold my soul to the military. GD I hate MA schools.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Could be worse, other people could have sold your soul to the military, take poor pedro sanchez here
NY has most middle schools go from 7-9, but it depends on where you go to as the HS can accomidate from 9-12.
Well yes and no.Originally Posted by Pabst
Completing year 10 gets you a "School certificate" - lets you into most trade jobs (plumbing electrician etc), Completing year 12 gets you a "Higher school certificate" which lets you get into university and some other private courses.
Basically blue collar work = finish at 10th gradeFor everything else, there's mastercard.
