Doesnt seem so when they stall for weeks.
Which raises a question for me. Just what is SE doing? Is it possible they are making a new policy? Is it possible they are going to make ways to prevent this from happening again? Or maybe, just maybe they are working to get our items back. But it is just probably their way of operating, with 2 people going through the thousands of notary forms.Originally Posted by ronin sparthos

grats on getting your account back. I received my "return reciept" in the mail today, 7 days after SE got the notarized form i sent them, and they still havent sent me an email nor does my account even show theyve gotten the letter when I call. I bet my shit is at the bottom of the pile >.>. Which sucks because my shit was stolen back in the first week of December...
Anyone ever thought about making a list with all of the known accounts that have been recovered and about how long it took? Would be kind of nice to see some proof of how reliable this is.
LS mate of mine got hacked Friday and luckily he got it locked that day before the weekend hit. We're hoping not much was lost and from our understanding half the shit he owns is slow to sell at regular prices, i.e. Hagun, Haub+1, Byrnie+1, Wyvern Helm+1 and some other good AH SAM gear. What sucks though was the Haub was on loan from an LS mate. Kind of hoping it wasn't RMT that jacked the account, but more than likely that's not the case.
Well, after a week of having email problems, I finally received my confirmation email. I was able to call in last night and retrieve my account as well. Not sure why all of a sudden I was able to receive their emails, but I received it in all three of the email addresses that I gave them. After I got my account back, I logged in to find that all of my items were gone except for R/Ex items and a basic setup. It looks like I was being used to do KS and BS runs. They also used up all of my Imperial Standing and CP points. When I logged in, the address that was under my account was:
3851 Mruphy Rd.
Pierre, South Dakota 57-501
605-665-3685
I'm sure it is fake, but just thought I would post it.
Just as an FYI. My account was first hacked 12/9/07. They received my Notarized Form on 2/1/08. I received the Confirmation Email on 2/11/08. So it took them six buisness days after receiving my Form. I had "mysterious" email problems, so not sure if that was just a stall tactic or not.
Good luck to all of those still waiting. I'm sure you will get your toon back as well.
CONGRATS BUNGEE!
Thanks Ravenskye. I would suggest calling twice daily, that's what I didOriginally Posted by Ravenskye
I hope you get your account back soon as well. I never heard of anyone getting the confirmation email, but then they say your account isn't ready to be returned. That seems really odd and against everything that I've heard from POL reps when I called.
They said the e-mail was sent prematurely.Originally Posted by Bungee

of course the # is out of service... this is an interesting trend lets keep this flowing for those who get your accts back and update the member info...
Hi Kia, was your account stolen...?
any new updates for anyone?
Been 3 months and some days since I was hacked/called in to report.
Been 3 weeks since they received my notarized form.
Still nothing yet for me (I've been calling in just about every other day). I hope some more of you have gotten your accounts back...
today will mark the end of the 3rd week since they received my notarized form. they can't tell you anything, so you are supposed to just wait in suspense for what could be NEVER... it's so goddamn frustrating... all they can say is if some "disciplinary action" was taken against your account while it was compromised that the process will take longer because there's more to investigate, but we have no idea of:Originally Posted by Manalek

d) exactly what the fuck they have to "investigate"
some kinda fuckin insight would probably stop the huge influx of calls into their center each day... I've called just about everyday for the last 3 weeks, and I know i'm just setting myself up for disappointment now when I call, so I've decided to not bother. if someday down the road, like march of next year, SE decides to email me "hey we have this ffxi account that you sent us a notarized form for, if you'd like to reactivate please call our center and verify this bullshit code, we could sure use your monthly fee". It can just go in the fucking gmail trash folder.
whee...
I have a sneaking suspicion its like 3-4 people doing everything.
Don't you think it's more like just 1 person with a split personality working on it? Even just 3-4 people should have made more progress in 3 weeks. Seems like barely anyone got their accounts back so far.Originally Posted by ronin sparthos
I thought they said only a few people were affected, then why is it taking near a month to handle the issue? lol. Either they are lying and its alot or its like 3-4 people max on hundreds of papers.
Just got my verification email and on the phone with SE as I type this. Looks I'll have my account back in a few minutes.
