Congratulations.. I'm still one of the longest and unluckiest people waiting... My account was hacked back on September 4th... Theres like nothing SE can do now.. Was 3-4 monthes after the hacking that they came up with the policy.. I gave them so much info I had when I was on the account, and they told me it was all wrong.. I honeslty don't know the deal with these people... Anyway GL to you all and still waiting.. =/
I know for a fact that their information is wrong. First they told me the CC i originally had on the account when i had it didnt match the one i was saying over the phone. To which i replyed "I have the credit card statement right here in my hand from the first month i ever payed for the game back in 2004" and all they could say was blah blah blah. Also my two other friends ran into the exact same problem. SE also told them that the original credit card that was first on the account didnt match the one that they were providing over the phone when it was infact the CC that they first used on the account.
Fortunetely i still got to go through the process and i got mine back in late Feb. 08 and i sent in the notary and everything in early feb. So it took about 3-4 weeks for me to get it once i called about their new pocliy. My other friends sent theirs in even before me and they still havnt gotten their accounts back. SE is now asking them for their ISP and one of them has given it to SE 3 times already and they still tell him "We are investigating" so its been about almost 4-5 months since he sent in his notary and he is still at where he was 4-5 months ago. No where.
If you change your CC# using playonline veiwer SE's reps can't see the original(It looks like its never been change). Or so I was told by a rep. They don't actually check for which CC# but they check their records for someone calling and changing the CC#. Which each call you make is documented in some kind of way.

Just got my account hacked today.. Both main Xbosskee and mule Bosskee had all the gear and gil taken. While I made the call to POL to give notice of what had happen I was able to get on the mule Bosskeex. Both character ended up in Alexander.. I was told to run around and check the mules in Batallia Downs. I found a mule with most my signed gear.. Omorie is the characters name. I been on waiting for a GM for the last 3 hours.. Im just hoping GM responds and locates the person or people behind this.. Hopefully the "Roll Back" will get my gear back..
Canoe from titan. Returned 5/27/08 was hacked March 3. All my gil/gear was gone and only way to get a free ride back to my server is through data restoration gm told me so i'm doing that. They also told me my gear would be restored too which is good >< Just wish they would extend that policy to those who were hacked in december as well but, thought I would share.
I have a question for those who are familiar with Norton Internet Security 2008:
I am among those that have been hacked and am awaiting the return of my account. After the incident occurred almost two weeks ago, I purchased NIS 2008 and Spyware Doctor w/ Antivirus. I have been trying to become more familiar with NIS and have been scanning daily and checking the Security history frequently. I just noticed within the Security History, under the screen "Suspicious Activity Monitoring", that pol.exe was flagged as a low security warning, stating "pol.exe made 12 modifications to your Windows Startup settings". Does this mean I'm still infected? I've found several trojans and such over the last two weeks, but I thought my PC was clean by now.
Has anyone seen something like this? I really don't want to have to reformat my PC... but I guess it may be my only option. Any information would be appreciated.

I'd get an updated version of an antivirus on a disc and just reformat, my old computer professor always told us by the time you reformat and get on the internet your computer is already owned by someone else. NIS/NAV/that series 2008 is really just a hog of resources, look over in the tech forum or general, theres an antivirus thread going on right now. Sorry it happened to you though, Aryea :/
Finally after six months of waiting, my boyfriend, Sparthos got his confirmation email to get his account back. /sigh SE... Finally.

I got my account back now, too. Although in a kinda unusual manner I guess(already posted about that on allakhazam). I lost my account on the 26th/27th November and got it back around the 3rd of December. Since it was flagged though it got banned at the end of the month. I called them regularly but all they told me over and over was that I should either call again next week for an update or just wait for that damn email they are sending out to people who get their accounts back. Anyway about 3 weeks ago I was asked for information required for a rollback(my account was still under investigation though). I've been waiting patiently since then and just for fun tried to log into my account today. I haven't received any email yet though. I was just expecting the usual account has been stopped message but funny enough it told me my account was deactivated and I could just reactivate it. I'm currently in the process of updating(at 48% now) so I don't have a clue at all what's going on. No idea if they rolled my account back but I'll let ya guys now when the update is finished. But at least they never told me anything at all.
Congrats sparthos!!, I'm really hoping this is a good sign that they are pushing them through faster now, we all got hacked around the exact same time... Still unsure as to whether or not I really wanna play again, but sometimes I do miss my little dude, 3 years is a long time to really get in touch with the character you portray in-game. Losing it feels like losing a part of yourself. Anyway, once again, congrats, but you aren't allowed to abandon us! :D

Just an FYI, I got my account back a few months back now, and they still haven't refunded the WTS the person who hacked my account did. I finally had to go through my credit card company to get that back. I do believe they charge you for a full month regardless of what day you start in that month.
