I got thru to se finally and got my account info back. Incidentally since I had to update the info, I got the address/number that was entered in my info, but who knows if it was bogus or not (the zip code definitely is). I went through the waiting emails and saw their order of events. They initially reactivated every old content id i had, probably to strip them clean too, then deactivated everything including the main. Then in January (after fee charge i guess) they reactivated the main for a week. I got on to find that the screenshots here and ffxiah were right about me being put on midgar. I was missing my ks99 orb that I saw them using in the screenies, and assorted other semi valuable gear (I was a broke ass to begin with, r/e ftw). It appears they wanted to give me seiryu's kote and suzaku's sune-ate for some reason (pld/blm75 go figure). I also have a kirin set and a couple pop items and 180k. At least they could have gotten me an mbody or some salvage shit. >.> I guess tomorrow I get to sign up for a restore.

Yeah, I'm not sure if anyone has been able to get through. Their line has been busy for about two days straight, and their webchat has been clogged up for hours.

There is clearly another batch going on here and if they start giving more recently hacked people there accounts back before those of us who have been waiting 5+ months, I'm going to be choked. No offense to those recently hacked, cuz it sucks. Period. All this would have been solved if SE would try to add a little bit more security. I know all the arguments for protecting your own computer, and believe me, I've secured my computer as best I can since then (and I'll reformat before trying my toon again, if I ever see him), but a simple security question needed for password and server changing would solve this. And perhaps changing it so that a second person trying to log into an account can't do so if it's already in use.

But as Jeny said: ridiculous. While their policy changes are geared toward helping us (albeit late), their own measures to ensure they don't have to deal with this again have been terrible.

5.5 months... almost everybody that's been waiting as long as me seems to be getting their accounts back; jeny,sparthos,twig,ravenskye,etc... makes me think they are close to getting mine done, but OF COURSE, the RMTs decide to do another major hacking spree which will probably push mine several more months away... goddamnit, anybody up for a trip to China and raiding some sweatshops... I'm packing my shit to go right now :b

I'm still waiting right beside you, since Dec. 11th. I think I'll also be waiting longer than most not only because of the recent hacking spree but also because I waited like 3 weeks after getting the email about providing ISP info before I called them back. After sending in the notarized BS the day after they sent the form and waiting so long on a response I wasn't really motivated to jump through any more hoops. Especially since they hadn't announced anything about restorations and they were just giving other people back their characters "as is."

I admit that I've started getting my hopes up seeing some of you that have been waiting as long as I have finally get your accounts returned and even more shocked that they are performing restorations instead of the usual runaround crap we've gotten used to. At the same time I'm kinda pissed that I'm checking my email whenever I get a chance hoping that email comes through, the same way I checked my caller ID to see if I had missed the call from the POL supervisor that we were all promised a few months back that never came. Hopefully all this waiting will pay off for the rest of us.

I got on web chat just minutes after their 9am start time and waited for about 2.5 hours before I got someone. Pretty painless to get them to submit my game data recovery, we'll see how long it takes.

SO i get home from a long days work hopeing to unwind a bit...incorrect password...right away i knew i was screwed so far happened to a few others in my shell...i waas on fenrir server and everything gone cept the gear they were using to farm with my 75 thf >.< on hold now for 1.5 hours tryign to get a hold of SE to get this squared away... really hope they can get this fixed and everthing back to normal ; ;

oh man, that is some bullshit. makes me somewhat scared that i'm gonna eventually hear that same shit. I mean, honestly at this point, 6 months without my character has pretty much killed it for me, but to think about the 3 years I spent working hard to earn what little I had, then to go through shit that I had no control over really, and then get the ultimate ass-raping slap in the balls, because of their bs restore policy... 3 years of recruiting friends to sign up and play, and never cheating, then to get strung along for 6 months jumping through hoops to get told "fuck you, don't come back" ? wtf.... hells no...

I got my email saying I could get my account back on May 30. Decided to wait until June 1 to reactivate. I couldn't get through on the phones until yesterday, but I was able to get my account back. Toon had been moved from Hades to Carbuncle and renamed Ataike. It doesn't look like they touched any of my Rare/Ex gear or CP/IS/AN, but they sold every gil item I had, and replaced my BLM gear with a generic NQ set, and a level 40 capped craptastic set. My new title was the Boroka Killer one, and I had sky pop items (Kirin set) placed in my bazaar. I also had a bunch of lizard molts, and 8 sold Amemet Mantles in my delivery box. Guess they tried to use my Leathercraft skill.

Called a GM today for Rollback, and he said that the recovery "could take more than seven days" for what that's worth.
