if you can find a notary you know, or work with you can probably get it done for free. I'm a texas notary, and would be willing to help anyone out, but its as much trouble to mail me shit as it would be to find one in your area

A friend of my mother's who works at Citibank will notarize it for me for free.
Check with your banks, they usually do it for free anyway.. or charge like 4-5$.
But yeah... what more investigations are they going to do?.... What do they want next, my kidney signed by the President?
where in texas? :DOriginally Posted by aceofspades
SE's next hoop: 'Please supply us with a DNA sample, we arent going to pay for the shipping, it will help in the very advanced investigation.

For those of you who got the email, did you call this morning? I called around 11am and I still haven't received the email...![]()
I haven't called since last Friday. I was about to call them when I checked and got the email around 7:25pm EST. For all these hoops and this long of a wait they'd better be fully restoring the accounts and not giving them back raped so you can wait around on some incompetent GM to hunt around for your stuff for every character you had.Originally Posted by Bungee
I just got off the phone with them. The guy helping me went to ask a manager about rollback. Information I got was that we would have to contact a GM after we got our account back. I'm not getting my hopes up too high.
Could anyone contact a GM and see what there policy will be regarding this?
Oh and Setzor I never knew you and Minnet were in Dallas. I'm right by you in Denton!!
Tried calling now regarding my compromised account that happened before this surge of hackings because the announcement used the wording "compromised accounts" in general. I was told that the item restore policy is still the old one and won't go back more than 7 days, so if that's the case, so much for getting the rare/ex items back? Anyone hear otherwise regarding the item restore policy for compromised accounts?
Uh.. unless they are changing the item restore policy, we'd only be able to restore one item once.
I honestly don't know what to say anymore. This is just getting more rediculous by the day.
:D That's awesome, gonna have to have a get-together at a nice restaurant so you can meet my crazy lil family sometime, yer buying, hahaha :DOriginally Posted by Twig
Yeah, I was told to use the email support to "confirm" that the old item restore is still in effect, so I'm writing that out now. Christine at the Information Center said that they couldn't help me and the GMs in game can't help me, so to use the email form. Chances are good that I'm not going to hear anything back from them, but if I do, I'll post it.
So just got my email from [email protected].
Attached was a PDF format letter that I had to print out. Basically it is a letter where I'm having to put in the original information that was on the account. As well as answer that I have never sold, ebayed, gave out my password, etc. It has to be notarized and the original copy has to be sent in, so if i make copies of it, i cant send the copies. Once i send it back, the investigation continues.
This is what it looks like, and what we will have to be sending back to them. I hope you can see/read it.
Funny how the letter also states that this doesn't guarantee anything and that we might not still get our accounts back.

Good Luck to you all!
I dont remember the address I started the game at...i moved alot during college. SO im just going to put the address i recently had along with my new address since i just moved.
Can someone please upload the form somewhere so others can download it? They were supposed to send me an email with the form, but still haven't received it![]()
Sigh, alright, I hope I actually get that email this week. I called(again) last Friday to find out that my form that a rep filled out for me on January 7th was never put in the computer, so I had to redo the whole thing and was put in the back of the line.
Just a sec, I'll host it.Originally Posted by Bungee

Compromised Account Form
If you have been hacked, fill out the form - get it notarized and send it as soon as possible certified to SE. As long as they get the application, all the nonsense with the representatives will probably cease. (Since the phone reps seem too incompetent to do simple things like file paperwork.)
I'll put the link in my signature as well so it doesnt get lost.
Original CD-Keys, original date of birth, original name, original address, all previous credit information, detailed information regarding the account, and a notarized letter proving your identity. I'm going to get a jump start and have some blood drawn, get a dental record set, and have a notarized copy of my birth certificate handy. In all honesty though, anything further to prove that we are the owners of our accounts is absurd.
I have a feeling that these letters are a legal formality. If someone calls in saying that they are the original owner of the account, they can refer to the notarized statement from us (the original owners) that have verified all information. Unless the caller can also verify the information, than SE can tell them that they cannot help. Alternatively, they can use that signed and notarized document against us if someone calls in claiming ownership of the account with the ability to verify the information. Lets just hope this nightmare is finally over.
