edit: technically all 3 of our accounts are in my name, not just mine. One is my main account, one is my husband's main account, 3rd account is mules which we are lvling a bit as well. We each have at least 1 character on each account that we have lvled, so all 3 accounts are "ours" not "mine" or "yours." Not sure the "shared property" rule of marriage extends to this game as far as SE is concerned though... I really don't know what they would do in our case if something happened...
Does anyone know the policy on how they will return items as the form looks to be for account retrival only?
Hey metal, you know, at this point FUCK the items, i was starting to get bored anyway, having to go recollect shit might actually keep me interested in the game for another year. Anyway, form printed/filledout/signed/Notarized.. I'll be mailing it out in an hour or so when I goto lunch. Turns out, the president's secretary at my company here is a Notary, and signed/stamped it for free for me.

Are they gonna world transfer people back for free?
Are the GMs gonna actually know about the policy and not play the stupid card?
Are they gonna restore all items or just one item?
Are they going to let you change your name back if the RMT changed it to something stupid?
Are they going to count the item restore as your 'one-time mealticket'?
got off the phone with SE, apparantly yesterday when I gave my email address it wasn't "entered correctly" or "entered in the correct place" or something, either way it wasn't sent. got that taken care of about 30 minutes ago, he said he was personally sending the e-mail.
other tidbits: if you live in another country and have to pay to call POL's 858 number because you have a US account, use the online chat, it now can handle reports for compromised accounts. also, they are reading our forums and know we're pissed about the notary, and by "they" i mean some of the POL reps. he said I was lucky i got my letter notarized because alot of people aren't very happy about it and didn't wanna do it.
didn't even ask about item restorations other than the fact that I'm hoping i get my Nomad's cap. He was like "well hopefully they didn't toss it, i doubt they'd toss that".

I could careless about the Notary part. I'm pissed that it took almost a month to come up with that lame ass form to begin with. When they said "New Policy" "please be patient" I was expecting a lot more than the bone they threw out there. Get this "Notarized and certified and send it back and we maybe will give you your account back" verses the statement put out yesterday on the "official website". Good PoL reps keep reading maybe it will teach you somethings about customer service that your Supervisors have failed to teach you or you are just that stupid to begin with. Cheers to the Reps that were helpful and POLITE ( Richard,David) to name the ones I have dealt with and to the dumb ass reps that were rude you need to remember something WITHOUT THE PAYING CUSTOMER YOU HAVE NO JOB!!!!!!!so frigging stop calling us LUCKY because we are asking you to do your JOB a service most of us have paid for for some 2+ years.
Got my stupid form notarized and mailed today. After they get it and send me new passwords or whatever they plan on doing to give us control of the accounts I'm going to wait to see what they do for the rest of you before reactivating it. I'm not going to bother spending even the measly $15 to do it if they are only offering them back "as is." I'm sorry but we shouldn't be treated like junkie's and just accept the bare minimum they are offering us back when they have the capability to actually make things right. I don't want to log onto a character renamed Tafdaslkfjasdbyaoudfjahyb on some random server the RMT moved it to with all my sellable items gone and all the R/E crap that took me 4 years to obtain dropped and some GM tell me they can't return anything since 2 months ago > 7 days ago. Are they serious that this is the master plan to fix things they have been working on all this time? That's not good enough for me and it shouldn't be good enough for anyone else. Spending the next 4 years trying to put back together everything from the last 4 just doesn't appeal to me. I still have a little bit of hope left that there's more to it than this but I'm pretty disappointed right now for waiting all this time if this is all they are going to do.
PS. About the server changing part of it, I'm not sure why he hasn't posted himself but from what I've heard Jussy, originally from Quetzalcoatl somehow got his account back the other day ahead of all this notarized garbage and was told he can't be transferred back until March. No details on how/why he got it back or what condition the RMT left his character in.

They wont care, so long as it has signatures on it they can legal bind you and prosecute if your lying. Thats all they really are doing this for, so protect themselves if someone tries to be slick and claim something they dont own.

I talked to my buddy at the POL support center again. I won't give out his name in case he could get in trouble, but I've gotten the same dude every single time I've called there. I was told that, as long as the account is flagged as compromised, go ahead and use the form that has been posted even if you didn't get the email. I wanted to make sure that I was ok to use it before I just blindly printed it out and sent it in. He strongly suggested that I use a package provider that offers tracking service, so I guess I'm double emphasizing it here.![]()

Might wanna call SE, but since EU have a policy for this and of course the Japanese have their own form.... perhaps the NA form is the Canadian form?
so does this only apply to ppl that were hacked in the latest round of attacks or will this apply to everyone who has ever had an account compromised?
It seems for anyone thats ever had a hacked account.
