World Pass...?

I used to play this game quite awhile ago, but quit to go play WoW, but I recently got a part-time job and have only 3 hours of school a day and decided to come back.
So my question is...well, I know you used to need a World Pass (I think it's called) to create a character on a certain server...but do you still need one? And if you do, is it allowed to request one on this forum?

No world passes needed anymore. You can choose.

gold world passes still exist for the purpouses of getting shiny happy furnishings and cute onion berets. if you want to come to kujata, i'd be glad to get me some toys...er...get you a world pass. ^^ there are a number of neat looking items that you can get though, so if you're returning, i'd advise you get a gold pass if you can find someone on a server you want to go to.

Gold World Passes only work for new POL accounts. So if he's gonna use his old POL ID, and just create a new character, it won't work.
