Just woke up a while ago, gonna hit CD3 again heh.

Seems like you can explore a lot of places on disc 4. You get new transportation and you can pretty much go anywhere you want. It's gonna be flippin sweet looking for the endgame stuff without any guides or hints even...
Do I still have a couple hours before cd3 is over or is it ending soon?
If you are back in Urha with Seth and them, you have 2-3 hours.
Yeah I'm back in Uhra after that boss fight from last night heh.Originally Posted by Belkin

I assume you got past that point, but I'm pretty sure you can't "lock yourself in". There are a couple ladders around that you don't spot the first time around. I was sitting there for at least 30 minutes running around trying to figure it out, when the ladder was right there lol
LOL yeah, the ladder was kind of in a blind spot due to the camera, took me about the same time to realize that I had to play with all the switches in the area to fix the water to a certain point before I could advance to the area with all the circular catwalks.
I stopped playing for a while because my sister wanted to play Guitar Hero and I needed a break anyway. Disc 4 seems pretty full of content + all the endgame stuff. Rest should be fun
Just got the game. I am going to start playing it later today.
Question: I usually don't use strat guides, but am I going to miss a lot of cool stuff without using one on this game?
No, just talk to all the NPCs everywhere. I never use guides on a first playthrough anyways, I start using them after beating the game once just in case I can't find certain items/quests, and in the case of this game, dreams.
Dunno about today, was yesterday I checked gamefaqs and they didn't even have a strategy guide up. You figure most stuff out on your own, although you'll probably Game Over on a lot of bosses the first time because you don't know the trick.
Yeah okay that's great... so this boss right after I find Kaim is kicking my ass lol.. having so many mages in 1 group is just stupid. >.<
Exact same thing happened to me <_<
I threw Earth Ultra ring on Mack and had him just spam attack, used everybody else to support (Cooke died early and I didn't bother to raise because she had 380 HP lawl). Just keep Mack alive and attacking every round is what I did. Powera and Speeda help. I also gave him a Power Drink I had laying around. Was doing 800 on Perfects
Can't I drop his Reflect somehow? I only had 1 groundus and one grounda bombs, so I'm basically out of items to use against him and without spells this could take a while heh. >.<
Used Powerus and Speeda on Mack, slapped an earth ring on him and did pretty consistent 1k attacks, which isn't bad since the boss only has 10k. After a good 10~ min fight, he died but damn, that's probably the hardest boss fight i've had in the game thus far heh.
Granted, this fight would've been 50 times easier if I just carried some bombs with me, but I never thought i'd need them heh. Damn Reflect.
edit: well you were right, that WAS a rather .... abrupt cd change message. >.<
CD3 is my favorite so far in terms of everything... nostalgic game is nostalgic!(I love when the main party splits and you jump back and forth between the groups until you all reunite, like they did in FF8.)
edit2: I'm going to different places looking for more dreams I missed, went to Uhra's tavern for those 3 I missed in the beginning and damn, that Storyteller dream was amazing.. definitely my favorite so far.
Was there a limited/collector's edition to this? Or did you just get some weapon for reserving ahead of time?
There wasn't any collector's edition... if you reserved the game you got some code you redeemed on XBLA that gave you access to another dream in the game, and you get access a weapon.
Ah icic said the blind man
JESUS...
I like how beautiful the game is and good the story is, but for the love of god I have been in CS/stories/memories for 2 hours now..
Finding the game a bit slow atm =/
Are you in CD2? Because that IS the slowest CD imo, it picks up in CD3.
edit: belkin if you're reading this, WHERE THE FUCK DO I GO in cd4 lol... >.< I found a cave underwater and there was a marker next to it on the map, i'm not sure whether it's an additional quest area or an actual storyline zone though. >.> guess i'll go through it and find out.
Still in CD 1... about 20 min after his daughter's funeral...
And wtf do I do to the Silver katatons(sp), they keep fleeing when I fight them.
