nah, i dont need the stuff now. yea, i have the key item. so its just waiting it out. been about 4-5 steal attempts so far. no biggie, i was just wondering if there was anything else i had to do

Finally started playing this today, second boss made me feel stupid. Managed to get myself killed twice to the second worm then on the third attempt I kicked it's ass taking hardly any damage. Loving it so far, bosses are nice and challenging and the random battles are so few and far between they don't annoy me. For the treasure achievement do I need to kick/ram/probe EVERY single thing in the game? I wont even bother attempting to get it if it is, I can't stand having to scan every item in every area.

Edit: Oh and I randomly had Seth revive herself during a boss fight, is this just a random trait immortals have or something? She didn't have any kind of reraise items (if there's such a thing in this game) equipped/used on her.

Immortals revive after 2 or 3 rounds of being KO'd (i think its like they die, end of that turn =1, do 2 more turns and they revive at end of that)

As for boss fights being hard? I went to fight persona at around lvl 40 and nearly got my ass kicked (Had no idea there was a boss there, no idea of its moves to equip anti status skills, and was generally just unprepared - and I hadn't saved in a while) After healing it back to full 349858325908345 times, after a couple turns i beat the shit out of it (had some top lvl nuke items in inventory, so sed pwnernated persona)

Yes, you need to ram every tree, probe every pot, kick every can, find all treasure chests, flashing items on the ground, and when you get the glasses in CD4 that let you find invisible chests, you need those too. You also need to find every single accessory in the game (which in turn helps you score the immortals' skill achievements as well, so it's not that bad..)

Everything can be retraced in cd4, and if not you can always just go to the Auction House and buy it... even if you lose the auction, it just recycles itself back into the AH and you get to bid on it again and again until you win. The only 2 items that you absolutely cannot get (that don't interfere with the treasure achievement though since they're spells and are purchased at a store) are Shieldus and Barricadus... you get 2 chances to buy them, at the 2nd of CD2 and the beginning of CD3, so take note of that and buy them.

EDIT: Also, bosses aren't hard, you just need to figure out the best way to beat them and/or the strategy behind their battle (there's a secret boss in CD4 called Persona, for example, that has 2 sides... one side only takes dmg from physical and heals from spells, the other is vice versa.) The one in Grand Staff is easy, just teach Kaim and Seth anti-paralysis that you get on the way coming up to that boss fight anyways (an accessory), then once they both have it equipped slap the actual accessory on Jansen and you're golden.

Congrats! I'm almost done myself. I borrowed another copy of Disc 4...going to run back to Numara and find the last of the treasures I need for the "Treasure Trove" achievement...I am at the last boss...and well I tried going to the AH...and the door was closed with a sign too...duno what that means, but it doesn't seem good.

Oh well, more trekking I guess.

If the AH is closed it just means that you bought every single item possible in the AH (that you can't backtrack to, ie. experimental staff items, etc. etc.) so that's a good thing that the sign is up. Now it just means that you have to find the items you're missing in the field/towns.

That's pretty much what I did in the end, I kept trying to wipe out the spider things that charge up the bosses MP with Prism but I ended up getting killed in the end, realized it was just easier to Barrier/Shield and then spam attacks and Aqua on the worm. Got hit by Para-flare twice but Zephyr completely recovered the HP I lost so it was ridiculously easy. Like I said in my other post, made me feel like an idiot 'cause it was such a simple strategy but I already got killed twice after the second worm appeared.

Hehe, yeah when you get the fight under control it's insanely easy. When it got to the point where Kaim and Seth are strong enough to kill enemies by themselves (and if not, at that point you should have at least two power drinks anyways..) and it's down to 1-2 spiders, I just had Jansen attack the main guys while Kaim and Seth just clean house over and over with whatever spiders keep popping up.

I did that the first time but then Paralyze got me killed after the second worm appeared with full Charged MP, went back and got Anti-Paralyze on all 3 characters. Then with Shield/Barrier-All the little spiders only hit for 0/1 damage and Para-Flare does 150 or so, just spammed attack with Seth and Kaim and Aqua with Jansen and they only managed to charge up one Para-Flare before it died (ontop of the one the second worm does straight away). Nice to have an RPG that actually involves some strategy instead of just spamming your best abilities, that's for sure.

I'm a bit into disc 2 and now I'm having trouble deciding who to use. Are some characters better then others? At the moment I'm using Kaim, Seth, Cooke, Jansen and Ming. Just got Sarah and I'm not sure who would be better to use, Sarah has a higher Magic Attack stat (Cooke, Jansen and Ming all have 369 and she has 390), but I dunno how much that even helps since Jansen always does more damage then Cooke and Ming with Black Magic. I was gonna throw out Cooke for Sarah but then I realized Jansen would be my only source of new skills. Should I stick with what I've got so I get the higher Black/White Magic tiers earlier then accessories?

Immortals will always be stronger then any of the mortals you have, so this answer is correct.

Learn mortals skills, revive themselves automatically after 2-3 rounds, etc. Basically you have all the mortals rolled into one immortal after you learn every available skill. Melee being Kaim and Seth, and mages being Ming and Sarah. I personally always use Kaim, Seth, Ming Sarah and Sed (double everything is rape). But in the end it just boils down to how you want to play the game.

Speaking of which, after 85 hours of playtime I'm FINALLY 980/1000 achievements. All I got left is the Treasure Trove achievement, which is turning out to be a bigger ball squeezer then the pipot quest was. Any suggestions from anyone whose completed Treasure Trove? What's a decent system to use so you don't search every area 20 times over before you're 100% certain you got every herb, sword, and cunt hair laying around?

I figured if I was ever going for the achievement I'd just check out a guide that lists the items in each area, maybe going from top to bottom of the list on the overworld? Not sure how you go about getting around on disc 4 (have to drive/fly/sail/whatever everywhere?) but that seems like the most logical thing to do. Thanks for the replies on who to use. Gonna finish up learning Cooke's skills so far then swap her out.
