If DAL and IND win, think of the playoff matchups remaining! IND-NE, DAL-GB, the four best teams in the NFL -- then you have ALL the story lines between IND-NE in the past 5 years or so of the playoffs, then you have all the matchups that these teams had this year. NE faced both DAL and IND this year, both were like the biggest games ever (all the matchups were between undefeated squads), then you had the huge NFC matchup of DAL-GB where DAL just fell really short.

OH MAN I LOVE THESE PLAYOFFS MANG. As someone else mentioned, SO many story lines.


PS: don't forget Manning v. Manning potential, that would be the biggest superbowl hype ever.

It's the golden child of the NFL (quickly becoming the evil twin to Brady) v. his kid brother...Perhaps one of the best known football families (from Archie) having the two QBs going against each other. Peyton v. Eli would be yooj man. On one hand, you have people (like me) who say Eli is overrated simply because of his family name, and on the other, you have people who say others are too critical of him because he carries that name. Nonetheless, consider that Eli would have to defeat the Cowboys, considered the best team in the NFC, and Favre's Packers, while Peyton would be giving Brady and the Pats their first loss of the season to get the chance to face each other. So unlikely, but if it would happen, I guarantee you it would be the biggest hyped superbowl ever.


Jesus, this game is quickly becoming the second half of a preseason game, with the exception that 18 is still in the game.

You said Dallas when you meant Green Bay fell short there.

Yeah, though. I totally agree with all the possible storylines. If Dallas beats NYG, then we'll have Dallas or GB playing against NE/Indy/SD possibly, and if NYG wins, we'll have Manning v. Favre and then possibly Manning v. Manning, or kid brother to the Big Manning v. Brady. So many awesome options.
