Nyzul Lamp Order Trick, no its not random order

We don't have problems with lamps. What is your guys' strategies?

Ours (if it's a specific order):

We all go out together, and our leader assigns everyone a lamp. 12345.

then we go "k 12345 light in that order"

whichever lamps stay on, that's the correct order. Then just mix up lamp # until you get it.

Exactly how we do it. Specifically we rotate the order one step to the left of the people whose lamps turn off. And we don't assign numbers I just call out names, but same principle. If bold represents a lamp staying on it'd be something like:

ABCDEF
BCEDFA
CFEDAB
FAEDBC

Doing it this way requires at most the same number of tries as there are total lamps, if nobody screws up.

So you place someone at each lamp and you label them A-B-C-D-E


A?B?C?D?E No lights *sad face*
Rotate E to the beginning now
E?A?B?C?D E lit up! It's first in the correct order
Now rotate D up to the second spot, since we know E is first
E?D?A?B?C B lit up! That means it's #4
Now rotate C up the line, into slot 2
E?C?D?B?A
You got it! All the lamps lit up!

my perma got a lamp order floor on sunday.
the lamp that was closest to the pole was not 4th, or first for that matter, but 3rd out of 4.
