Sexy renders, how?
Don't know if this is the right forum.... but..
How do you make stuff like this:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Image ... s3DMax.png
The 3DMax in the filename sorta tells you what software was used.
Now my question is, how do you export the model you want to a generic format? (what program is used)
Do you have to pose it yourself? Can character composite models be exported
as a single mesh? Is there free software to do the final render? There's a free copy of Blender3D
I've never used. How bout it?

Re: Sexy renders, how?
I used to use the model viewer and save the .dat file as something else. Then I would open up 3D Max and import the newly saved file. Once that was done I had a now working poly model of anything in FFXI. I would then just pose the chars and mobs then render.
Really I only know of 2 softwares I was able to do this with. Maya and Max. So I am not to sure if Blender can as well.

Re: Sexy renders, how?
this has been asked numerous times, and a search on here or KI or any other of a hundred sites could get you your answer. It seems repetitive to every forum I've ever been a part of, but use the search please...
Heres what it would have shown you: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=18169
