FINAL FANTASY XI Update (Jan. 9)

They didn't last year because we got an update mid-december.

Typically they seem to do updates about 3 months apart (as far as i can remember anyway).

Went to Nashmau to break down some coins, and went afk at the Whitegate dock so I could do other things. Brought up FFXI again a couple minutes later to see if the ship had come yet and I see this

... so last year had the earliest end-of-year update so far so it is plausible that the next update will come before February, but given that the Valentine's Day event items already exist in the game, I am inclined to stick with a February update despite the fact that I think there desperately needs to be one in January.

Seeing as how we didn't get "Coming in the next version update...." posts yet, it's probably delayed. All the massive hackings probably didn't help much either.

Windurst Woods fix was nothing grand- they moved the one NPC and changed the text when you chat with her. She now talks about the Cavernous Maws instead of her old "Mithra got this part of Windy blah blah blah" text.

She's actually been saying the Maw text since WotG release, I think.

I agree. If they put up the update post tomorrow or by Tuesday,then maybe the update will be at the end of the month. If not, I predict first week February

BTW Why would the developmental team be delayed by the hackings? Isn't this more of a customer service problem?
