    Wierd PC issue.

Yeah so I found a new problem that I've never seen before. The screen goes to dos and it says:

Intel (R) Boot Agent Version 4.0.17 Copyright 1997-2001

Client MA ADDR And some numbers/letters in sequence of 2 and then
    GUID: <bunch of stuff>
PXE MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.

    Stuff like that idk <_>

Dumped? Idk what any of that means. I mean at all. Something about my harddrive came up... Had to use a bootdisk (floppy) to get it past that screen.

take a picture of the screen with a camera and post it. edit* carefully read it again and it sounds like it's passing the hard drive boot sequence and trying to boot from some other method.

Hard to say though because you didn't say when it occurred (start up?)

Youll have to be detailed, list exactlly word for word what is on screen ("bunch of stuff" doesnt help), when it happens, what you do to make it happens, etc.

    Re: Wierd PC issue.

I had to use a windows ME boot up floppy disk to bypass the boot up procedure. It happened at the start up... I was able to back everything on my external harddrive that I've had since xmas... lol... I knew I shoulda done it sooner, I'm just glad I was able to. Sounds like I need a new harddrive :<

Well idk if the bunch of stuff is like... You can hax me if you know it stuff >_> It's like random numbers and stuff.

    Client MA ADDR : 40 45 35 0f 8s e5 09 8d kinda like that, but not the actual numbers.
GUID: 409wkfbw0-8825lk2h397 (not the actual stuff I didn't write it down and I was able to start my pc up)

    Hi

    Check your boot priority.

Your first boot device should be your HDD, followed by whichever you like.

    Should solve your problem~

    Re: Wierd PC issue.

You should Disable anything related to PXE on a home computer since you probably are not setting up RIS (Remote Installation Service). You do this in the BIOS, there should be a option to disable the network card (not what you want), enable the network card with PXE (not what you want) and enable the network card without PXE (this is what you want).

Depending on the type of computer the wording for it might be different.
