NIN/DRK Trouble

Tanked my 2nd HNM yesterday on Nin/Drk, Mr. no stun to get enmity Khimara-Chan. Khimara seemed to move a lot during the fight. At around 50% or so, it started moving toward the blm's. I'm not exactly sure why, this never happened on Tiamat. Bind -> Blind -> Slow -> Paralyze -> Sleep is my rotation. I only have 1 Enmity merit and this is my gear.

Neck : Harmonia's Torque
Earring's : Eris' Earring+1
Body : Arhat's Gi+1
Hands : Dusk Gloves
Ring1 : Ebullient Ring
Ring2 : Mermaid Ring
Back : Cerb Mantle
Waist : Warwolf Belt / Swift Belt
Legs : Haidate
Feet : Dusk Leds.
Ranged Slot : Shuriken

I left my Hades Sainti in moghouse and i'm torn between this and the staff. I ate Carbonia and bumped my HP to around 1400. Any type of help would be greatly appreciated. I was tanking with another pld.

Ive yet to have a blm pull hate off me on Khim when i was NIN/DRK after the 95% mark. My gear is exactly comparable to yours. You need to keep casting the whole time, if your not casting shadows or spells your not doing it right. I am battleing against TT blm with completely decked gear tripping latent unloading 1200mp a cycle on him. The only thing that can get hate from a NIN/DRK tank working effciently is another NIN/DRK tank thats not having to Ni/Ichi b/c the mob isnt on him.

ps BRD/BLM is your best friend @ Khim.

Hmm. I never usually cast Absorb spells, but i will never time. I also don't engage Khi, i just tank my back to him. I will try to engage next time. Thanks for the tips!

Holding hate off a Taru BLM on an NM like Khim isn't really a huge accomplishment...
Takes like 50% dmg from unresisted nukes.

I didnt say it was, but I said there should be no problem doing it. Since the OP mentioned Khim going after BLMS

i dunno what im misunderstanding ; ;

if we pretend that voke recast is lowered by haste look at this: just like if voke was a spell or something

1800 VE over 30 seconds

10% haste will net you a 27 second recast with 180 VE still on you when voke is up.

10% enm will net you 180 more VE with the 30 second recast, making the voke last 3 seconds longer o_O

so its either you voke 3 seconds earlier and end up with 1800+180(from last voke) or you voke normal 30 seconds and end up with 1980 enm.

same amount of enmity no matter if you're using enmity+10 or haste+10 does this only work with voke or something o_O?

ohoh this makes sense now o_o, since the recast reduction is still working off the longer recast, so for anything that the recast is longer than the duration of the ve decay, then haste is superior
