Damn, I guess I'm going to have to scrap my one-inch punch and blade:ie WS builds.

There's a thread about Blade: Ei on the KI NIN forums halfway down the page if anyone really cares to go read about it. It seemed to be based purely on INT and MAB, and was hilariously bad even using most that's available.
Can Warriors use One Inch Punch? It would be pretty easy to force a Double Attack using Warrior's Charge.![]()
It's the same as how Shark Bite looks like a stab, pull motion, and it can land 2-6 actual hits(maybe 6 is too high, but TA can definitely proc on at least one of the hits).
These WSs probably used to do what they looked like they did, until we all started abusing Haste, DA, and TA gear. So yes, fault that on shortsighted programming.
Think it's a MNK only WS, because a war using One Inch Punch is so much goddamn win it would cause the world to crack in half.Originally Posted by evilpaul

I tested for fun~ 11 TP from a normal attack round. (WAR/MNK /w Destroyers, and no Store TP Gear on.) 11 TP from One Inch Punch. (First Fist + Second Fist).

are you sure double attack cant proc on asuran? i pretty sure i've seen 8tp returns before and if memory serves the first hit alone should generate 8 tp? plus i doubt i missed all hits but the first.
No, the first hit would normally be 5 TP.
5 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 10 + 6 = 16 TP return
Any values between 1 and 16 as a TP return are possible.
Can get higher TP returns too depending on the store TP you use in WS.
How about a whm/nin build for hexa (so 7 hits) and hoping for a double double attack to make up for a missed first hit?
You'd just have to be fortunate enough to miss your first hit, land the next 6, and get two DAs with a piddly 5% DA rate (maybe 6% with food). With a 9tp first hit, if you got 8tp back you'd have your proof.
No, it's not feasible really...
1 Miss + 6 Hits + 2 DAs = 9 SwingsOriginally Posted by Kriz

It was in regards to Alisha who wondered about 8tp returns, which you can't trust cause of AF tp return covering the whole range of numbers, unlike the theoretical 2xDA Hexa, which only encompasses 0-7(8 doubtful, that'd be the proof), and 9-16tp.
I totally believe in the 8 swings cap, and that you'd never get 9 in. Just throwing out a test that might(?) be useful, cause all you'd need was for it to happen once and be able to prove it...
