That infection caused the skin to scar as it healed over from being rubbed away, which caused it to close up so that it could no longer be moved back. Thus, there was a build up of puss inside, all of this which happened even after we treated the first infection, and it had to be removed.

I don't need to be a doctor to explain what happened to my son's penis, nor do I really need to prove anything to you because I could care less whether or not you believe me. Yeah it's the same both ways, the difference in having the skin there is so negligible that any like noticeable differences would be the exception to the norm, not like you can just expect your sex to be better because you're not circumcised. Just more old wives tales.
