Using focus JA, i was told the head peice had to remain on the get the extra 10 acc. Is this true, or can you macro swap it?

20 acc raw, +10 from crown, macroing out the crown will retain the bonus.
So yes, macro it for the JA activation and switch back to your normal headpiece immediately.
Same with dodge and counterstance and their respective pieces.
I wish DRK and lolWAR AF2 was like this. =\
but yea you just equip and wait for activation > switch back to TP/WS gear W/E you're doing.

For casting the gear has to be on when the spell fires, not before its done.

AF+1, which piece do I upgrade next? I already have feet.
It depends on what you're going for, as there isn't much exciting from MNK. However, most will go with Legs > Head, as they both become the best Chi Blast pieces in their slots after the upgrade.Originally Posted by Apelila

Hands+1 are useless, as you get better returns from attack-kotes, and if you need the subtle blow, you can get it from Melee Gloves.
Cyclas+1 gives you only an extra ~20HP when macroed in for Chakra. (Usually considered useless)
Hose+1 can be a decent defence piece with HP/guard/counter+3, but personally, I never use them as a defence piece, as I'd rather have either the HP of Melee Hose, or the Haste of Byakko's Haidate. They end up serving me as Chi Blast legs.
Crown+1 only beats itself as the best Chi Blast headpiece, and that's all.

AF+1 hands are useless for meleeing, and give the same benefit as NQ for boosting. So they're not really worth upgrading.
I'm probably going to upgrade mnk body sooner or later for that oh-so-amazing +10hp on chakra, but other than that do brutal->feet->legs->head and sell the rest of your coins for cashmoney.
I think it's so stupid the best two MNK AF+1 is legs and feet, but the most functional is head, body, and hands. That means you can't upgrade, re-quest the upgraded pieces, and store AF away for eternity until some bazaar 60 cap event is required like other jobs.
AF+1 legs/feet, and NQ head/body/hands in mog house ftl.
You dont need AF for 60 cap, there's better equip for each slot
Head : Voyager
Body : SH
Hands : OK
Legs : Clown subligar
Feet : Kung-fu
So yeah mnk is kinda lucky, we can upgrade equip and dont have to request. Sure you wont be able to have enhance stuff from af on bcnm but I dont think people will notice.
