Spent about an hour sifting through that /v/ thread and uninstalling/reinstalling try to get it to work, all to no avail, so I'm just going to wait until it's official release (only a few weeks away). Not worth the headache. =(

I've been playing this the past few days. The creator closed the beta early 'cause the servers couldn't handle all the traffic it was getting. I've uploaded the program that lets you get around the closed beta on filefront. Just run the .exe then run Audiosurf and it should go through fine, if it doesn't check the info.txt for some solutions (worked fine for me just running the .exe but I had already been playing the game before the beta was closed). Have fun! :D

Easy to get it working

Just uninstall fully

Edit your host file which if you don't know where it's located try the usual spots listed on Wiki

Add in the line in the 4chan thread they tell you to, save it.

Then install the game and enjoy.

Try visiting some boards outside of /b/ sometimes, you'd be surprised. 4chan isn't a complete shithole, although most boards seem to get infested at some point and deteriorate into /b/ Jr.
