I got it working (before it went down), played one song on the monotone easy mode then skipped right to the ninja elite mode (my excuse for sucking!). Track seemed to fit pretty well to the song If it isn't obvious from the low quality, the road was bumping up and down for the entire song. I think I like the easy mode better though...get to enjoy the songs more.

It was a good example of how well the game adheres to the music. Why couldn't Guitar Hero be badass and do something like this and just auto generate based on a song.

And I was so hopeful...

Uninstall Audiosurf, trust me it works. Uninstall and then make sure the changes are saved in the host file. At that point when you install the game will work fine. With the offline version I'm sure it edits the host file also, so edit the host file and save it, and then install the game afterwards just to be on the safe side.

It may work for some without having to reinstall but the install is so fast it's not a pain to take the precautionary measure to ensure your effort at installing the game pays off.

Try setting app version = 2 in that .ini

Works great for me with surfboard running.

Its a decent game, but I don't see it having any real lasting appeal

lol it's fun and all but like bob said, I doubt it'll last.

If anything, it makes you do something while you listen to your music if you're not doing anything.

Scores anyone? Just took my first shot at Through the Fire and Flames and managed to gold it easily on Ninja Mono, it's almost twice as long as most songs I've played and the score for gold is the same.

For some reason a lot of the Dragonforce songs are really easy on this. (Although Ninja Mono is incredibly easy in general and doesn't really belong on Hard) Weirdly enough though, Number of the Beast was ridiculously difficult.

Yeah I've noticed the longer the song it easier it is usually, due to the score for gold not changing with the length of the song. I just enjoy Ninja Mono because it's fairly difficult to get a gold on (on shorter songs anyway) but not too difficult to not be enjoyable. The other modes seem to require planning on where to put different colours and I can't seem to do it at the speed of the songs I've been playing on.
