    Low contrast on PS2.

I just got a used Slimline PS2 the other day, model 70001. But I noticed that it is really dark, even with the tv settings turned all the way up. I tried hooking it up to different tv sets, I've tried different cables, but it's all the same. Is there any way to adjust the built in brightness and contrast?

Try a new set of composite cables to see if your video input is damaged?

Got some new composite cables, but it's still the same. One thing I noticed though, in "System Configuration" on the menu it asks what type of output I'm using, but it doesn't give an option for composite cables, only component and Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr. Would that have something to do with it?

Possibly. If that's the case, try some component cables. Not sure where you'd find a component set with the PS2 plug though.

Only problem with that is that I don't have any tv's to plug component cables into. I guess I'll just try to return it and see what happens.
