Ha, just watched the first episode on FOX.com. I didn't realize David Nutter directed it - he's kind of a "series pilot specialist" director - he went to the same grad school I did (U. of Miami). He did the pilots for Without a Trace, Smallville, Roswell, Dark Angel, and a bunch of others. I was disappointed that he wasn't interviewed in the "Director's Take sponsored by Verizon Wireless" segment you can click on, being as how, you know, he is the director.

Pretty decent show, but yeah the acting is rough. The scene between the FBI guy and the fiancee was particularly brutal.

I have a feeling that the entire premise behind him fighting to save humanity will be a matrixy type equilibrium between humans and machines

where in fact machines develop to a point of having emotions etc etc

They explain the whole story a bit in the first two episodes, but you'd probably get more enjoyment out of it if you'd at least seen the first two. It helps that Terminator 2 is a really good movie.

I dunno, it seems like every formulaic American action/comedy/drama is trying to incorporate all three into every episode (although they usually have to settle for forced or awkward attraction to keep from pissing parents off... like in Reaper and Big Bang Theory...)

everyone wants to see the hero get the girl. yes its the staple of cliche story telling. even chuck which is pretty good has the same sexual tension. the man woman dynamic always has been important in human connection from the beginning of time. if its not broken...

Yes , watch the 1st 2 as there both good and you can ignore the terrible 3rd movie also which is a very good thing.

Just watched the first two episodes, hoping the third is up on Stage6 when I get home from work tomorrow morning, if not this afternoon.

I lol'd at the trailers thinking it was going to suck (get the guns, i'll make pancakes - dumbest fucking line ever) but it's actually pretty decent. T1 is classic, T2 was decent, T3 was epic failure. I'd have to rate the TV show thus far as on par with T2.

Can't wait for more episodes and to learn more about Terminatrix.
