I knew it was fake when I saw "so he pulled out an empty box of Oreos." Everybody knows Oreos don't come in boxes!Originally Posted by Jedimasta

People went crazy when the original iMac came with no 3.5" drive. We've been at a point where disc-oriented media isn't needed, so they're moving forward. Granted I've been a Mac fanboy since I used my first one in 1982, it's always nice to see someone mainstream moving always forward. It does wonders for all the stock I have in them... :D :D
Frankly, the only times I ever use the CD/DVD drive on my laptop is:
- When I reinstall the operation system
- When I burn mp3 CDs
It's not what I'd want, but then, it's not really for me I don't think. It's for people with lots of money and/or for whom form > else. Walk into a client meeting and plop one of those on the table, and you make an impression.
Me? I'm happy with my Macbook. Pro would be nice too, but for what I use a laptop for, this one should last 5-6 years (as my still-chugging-along TiBook did).
The main thing that disappoints me is that Apple -still- has not come out with a $1000-1500 tower. I would much rather have seen that than a new Duo.
