FFXI Compeltion

Have fun, find new things to solo and new ways to challenge myself. Things like Soloing ENMs/ISNMs/BCNMs/SeaNMs/SkyNMs etcetc.. Mainly on RDM but trying things on PLD as well, hard w/o Aegis though ._.

Solo'd most of the Major soloable ENMs, working on Pulling the Plug atm. Solo'd Ix DRK/MNK. Solo'd Zip,SC,Despot,Ulli, working on Faust, Olla, Genbu and Seiryu maybe someday. Working on Up in Arms and ODS as well.

A full spell book, currently have 302 spells learned. Not sure how many are in the game, but that's my big and unrealistic goal since I'll never have the patience to level drk that high.

That cool, I didn't think that anyone else had that similar goal. I was close until they added blu and the new drk spells. Need to lvl blu to 75, finish SCH and lvl drk up a bit now to complete that goal.

Other goals I'm working on atm are finish map quests, only 4 maps left to go, 3/4 promies and the aqueducts.

I also like having every job 37+ and avaliable as a SJ, so rushed dnc and sch up there when WoG came out.

I'm working on getting Captain rank and all maps as my goals. 5 maps left to go (four are promies, but I have two memospheres for them so far).

Glad someone else is as self-hating as myself. Everyone I've talked to about it thinks I'm nuts, all i have to do is finish brd(56) whm(60) drk blu and sch, it's a little unrealistic, but it keeps me motivated.

Well there is sort of a way to show off your accomplishments, if you play on xbox360 with achievements for getting lvl 75 jobs, completing missions, top assault rank, craft at 100, relic weapon, dynamis lord defeated, dynamis tav defeated.. etc... but for ps2 and pc people (like me) that doesn't really matter much

A goal for me was having more than 1 75 job I recently got warrior and red mage 75 so that's done. Next, merit to kingdom come and slowly make both jobs feel like my black mage in how I like them. Definitely a lofty goal I haven't done a total of the merits needed to cap but it's a lot. Aside from that always loved ninja tanking of old (yes loleva nin) these days that job just isn't the same and of course samurai because taru melee just look great. So tack those two jobs and applicable merits then I'd say that's enough job wise.

If I had to say what my main goal was it'd have to be attaining a full black mage relic set, which I recently finished, belt included, it was a really good feeling after playing for so long.

Event based goals, my LS has dynamis-tav acess so I want that clear to finish off dynamis clears. I have never done salvage, so I'd like to least try that at some point, the expense of gear seems unrealistic to me but to try it out anyway. Windy rank 10 with all outposts makes it just dumb to switch but would like to see the other stories first hand, considering I've helped out with people doing them before and what not.

My goals in the game when I started were: Thief 75, Full Thief merits, Mandau, Woodworking 100+3, San d'Oria rank 10. They changed slightly; I have the Thief, woodworking, and rank... I don't have the merits or, obviously, the Mandau. But, I added Rdm 75 to the list, but I want the non-job specific merits done before I level it. I don't know why, but I do. I also added 100 in all crafts to my mules; I'm no where near as close as Aurik is, but I'm 90% done with my 2nd. I've got a long way to go, which makes a lot of things exciting, but I kick myself frequently for quitting about a month after NA release; I only really got back into it in November of '06... dinked and dunked for 8 months before that. I feel kinda good about where I'm at, but man I wish I'd been around sooner. :-S
