I saw this article and I began to think, who the hell at any point liked clowns? I've never met anyone who said they liked clowns. Most either dislike them or have no feeling either way. It seems to me that clowns are something that adults assume kids would enjoy when the adults themselves didnt even like clowns when they were kids. For some reason people wont let clowns die seemingly for the same reason we still have things like the grammys, radio or 50th sequels to shitty movies.

i like them because i find them quite frightening and unknowable. i'm not the least bit surprised to hear that small children aren't fans of them though. something about a painting of a clown crying is just great, in my opinion.

I had an extra group of friends in high school that I skated with and such that were completely normal. I didn't see them for the summer and when I get back to school, they're all dressed like fucking clowns with like 40 different ICP shirts. Most ridiculous trend ever.

Clowns will never be amusing as they want to be. As for kids, they go against everything being a human is, which frightens them. Big red noses, horribly obscure smiles, odd mannerism and clothing. Kids can't understand or interpret what they are, since they aren't exactly "human" or what they are used to being human, and it frightens them. Much like in society, when something new or unknown takes a presence, people act upon instinct and impulse as to what to do. 99% of the time it's to judge or become angry/scared since it's easy to do that.




I used to be into ICP when I was in middle school. Well... Like 4-7th grade. I am so glad I realized what actual music is. ICP is a band for all the misfit, "different" kids to find a common interest and social gathering. It's healthy to an extent, but fucking christ... Going chickin huntin? Yeah... no.
