Exactly...I'd like to know which "point" you're talking about, Marsala, because as far as I could tell Jon spent the entire interview trying to actually get Goldberg to make a straight point. After ten minutes listening to Goldberg throw around all of these hollow terms (the isms) and false correlations, I'd be inclined to give up and just start making fun of the guy too. There's a point where it becomes pointless to try and elicit a serious response anymore. I think Jon gave Goldberg more than ample time to present a solid argument, which Jonah failed to do.
Tearing apart an argument instead of trying to piece together a bunch of half-baked ideas doesn't make Stuart a dick. That's not his job to try and find/make Jonah's argument for him. The guest should come already prepared with a legitimate, well-thought out argument with as few holes as possible. Jonah's argument wasn't airtight and as a result he was punished for it.
And Stuart wasn't saying "zomg big wordz go away! not welcome heree!" He was saying that Goldberg was just throwing out all these hollow labels to try and support his argument. Not only that, but Goldberg's definitions of the -isms were convoluted and outrageous. Do people bashing guartz get called dicks? No, because guartz makes outlandish statements that anyone with a brain can pick apart with ease.
