    The only thing that is calculated at the beginning of the spell is the casting time, since, obviously, it couldn't be done at the end of the spell if it doesn't know when that end is. All other stats: MAB, magic skills, INT, enmity+/-, etc, are calculated at the time of casting. So you have to nuke in your accuracy setup, you can't swap it out.

    I'm one of those people who likes to get event items, and for the last 3 anniversary events I've needed only Gold Moogle Belt and the Moogle wand to be done with this. Last year I even had every other possible item but those, and tried waiting various times and only ever got fireworks. This year I started 4 days late and don't have a couple of the warp necks anymore either. Does anyone know the best way to improve my chances of getting them (the belt and wand) without spending too much time waiting between? I already took my adventuring certificate out of event storage.

    Monomi and Tonko both should last a static amount of time, every time. (Ex: Tonko: Ni always lasts 5 minutes. Tonko:Ichi always lasts 4.) Last I heard--gogo, rumor mill--Skulker's cape reduced the resist rate on sneak/invis, generally allowing it to last longer. Since the NIN spells last the same amount of time every time they're casted, there is no "resist" on them to speak of.

    That, though, begs the question: Does Skulker's Cape affect Silent Oils/Prism Powders? That I don't know...
    My Tonko: Ichi and Monomo: Ichi last 3 minutes, not 4. Ni lasted 5 though.

    I think Skulker's increases the minimum time it can last, which makes it average out to better times.

    Does anyone recall offhand what the previous formulas and cap for /DNC Curing Waltz II were? Finally got around to macroing in Osode for NIN/DNC cures and my numbers are 161 without +10 CHR and +10 VIT and 166 with, and I really thought I remembered the stats doing much more for cures than that.

    Iirc it was something like:
    Before: DNC Main and Sub Curing Waltz II: 130 + (Target VIT + Caster CHR) / 2
    After: DNC Main left alone and subbed Curing Waltz II: 130 + (Target VIT + Caster CHR) / 4

    Iirc it was something like:
    Before: DNC Main and Sub Curing Waltz II: 130 + (Target VIT + Caster CHR) / 2
    After: DNC Main left alone and subbed Curing Waltz II: 130 + (Target VIT + Caster CHR) / 4
    So it's not a huge nerf, but it's still in this scenario, doing 166 instead of 171 (more if you include natural stats) :\ kinda gay.

    Only reason I would come back to play is to finish lvling RNG.

    However, sold my KClub when I left and no longer have the funds to think about getting one back. Originally wanted to lvl RNG to do a KClub build... seemed like a lot of fun, and I wanted to do an over the top buildup.

    Does that new JA make KClub RNG outdated? And how would Merc Kris work for having a bit of fun in absence of KC? Obviously not even close, but could it work?

    To the ones by the merit camp? No.

    But you need to sneak past quite a few TS mobs, and doing it solo is quite the gauntlet.
    The merit Camp itself is littered with Mamool, Puks, and Skoffins if I recall, not had an xp party down there in ages.

    It's the same place Darting Kachaal Ja pops if I'm thinking of the same place as Kionu.

    I've always had pretty good luck both solo and during sea hunts in Hu'Xzoi (both sides), checking Temperance pops.

    Just need clarification:

    The increased casting speed and reduced timers on Spells from Haste and Fast Cast are calculated at the beginning of casting correct?

    So I can hit my Utsusemi macro then immediately hit my Evasion macro on THF and receive the Cast/Recast bonus from Haste and the Evasion Bonus from gear on the longer Ichi Casts?

    Given that I try to figure most of this stuff out on my own, it's something that is incredibly hard to parse and I cannot discern a difference one way or another and I feel I'm biased, so I need opinions.

    In regards to HNM soloing, I usually have 279 Parry, 294 EVA, EVA+76, and +10 AGI, and +EVA bonus I. Now my dilemma, because I really can't decide, and currently use Rasetsu, is EVA+10 SB+5 Counter +2 or AGI+15 HP+50?

    Any input at all is appreciated.

    Edit: I also have a bit of a dilemma regarding elusive earring vs. evasion earring, now I know that is more of a mob to mob choice, but again, I'll accept any input.

    Edit 2: Lo and Behold, in my ignorance I completely forgot I've had Prf. Gloves (Eva / parry skill +5) in storage, since I never use them, throw those into the debate then also, think for sure I'm using them while bastok has Li' Telor for AG.

    Playing with accuracy /checks a bunch, I feel strongly that evasion is calculated as a some kind of total between evasion skill + evasion, and then checked against total accuracy, combat skill + accuracy. (It's probably .9 Evasion Skill = 1 Evasion but I don't know for sure.) We can tell from accuracy checks that 2 AGI = 1 evasion when it comes to the total /check.

    That said, there's obviously an upper limit on your evasion %, which is around 80%. I always believe in giving myself + evasion until hitting close to that evade rate. It seems like you're asking for Usukane Gote vs S. Kote. I think the Usukane Gote is going to offer more /w the Acc(which is factor when soloing harder stuff) and SB+5 along /w the Evasion. Seiryu Kote just don't offer as much imo. I personalli had the P. Gloves for a bit, but tossed them =p. And I think Elusive Earring > Evasive earring is for all situations.

    Those are the choices I use currently, I'm using P. Gloves against things that would be VT or higher, or do you think I should still keep going EVA+ due to the natural EVA skill being so high?

    I believe the only check used in calculating a miss is based on total acc vs total evasion. And Evasion Skill + 5 is probably 4-5 evasion towards total evasion, vs the Usukane which give you a straight +10.
