How long after maint. does Tiamat window open?
How long after maint. does Tiamat window open?
Eh, not really. Pretty sure you only get a few hundred for each supply run.
Did some supply quest not long ago to get back PPA, gave me 80ish CP when doing the Lil telor one for Sandy if i remember well. I'd be inclined to think the furthest OP is, the more CP you get.
Undoing a random derail I replied too earlier: Does anyone know accurately how Avatar Physical and Magical BP damage is calculated, and if there is some obvious stat of the Avatar or Smn or something that should be factored in, but isn't?
Was talking to a Smn in whitegate about meriting the new BP's to 5/5, and mentioned how the tp bonus description reminded me of my martial bhuj, he seemed confused when I explained how it actually provided a large damage increase.
Went outside, I tanked some Lesser's for Garuda to Tp up (only one he had unlocked was Wind Blade, just cause he uses Garuda most) and he fired em off at different TP, 0 merits in the TP bonus btw. 50% ~ 258 Dmg, 120% ~ 346 Dmg, 300% ~ 465 Dmg.
Are Coli's strong to wind, and Wivre's weak to ice or something?
The guy has all sorts of tricked out Smn gear, the relic horn/skill neck/hands/evoker's, +1 relic legs +1 af feet, dalmy, all that noise... so I don't know why it would be so upsettingly lame, when after the 300% I had him fire a Pclaws, which did 1576 Dmg...
I thought it looked like an early step in a WS calculation or something, but missing a modifier or something somewhere, like I had fired off a steel cyclone with 0.0 for pDif and got a flat 350 Dmg from 300% TP or something.
I recall vaguely reading about Summoner magical BP's not calculating avatar stats properly or something?
I know jack about the magic damage formulas though... is there some sort of modifier that should be determined from the casters stats that might be missing... or the stat itself missing?
I noted that if there was like, a 3x multiplier in there somewhere, doing 750/1050/1350ish Dmg would be kinda decent.
I don't know anything about SMN, but I do know that colibris are very very strong to wind.
Yeah, I was informed of that just recently, but I am still interested about the Smn BP damage formula, because it still seems as though the magic BP's are kind of lacking in something that the TP bonus just doesn't cover, after talking with Mr. Old School Smn earlier this evening.
That would make the damages what, 500, 700, and 1000?
1000 Dmg for keeping Garuda out long enough to fill her TP up completely?
I mentioned something about how they should be adjusted to be more in line with at least T4 nukes, he said Blm's would bitch endlessly...
'Blm's don't have to melee so their Burst II won't suck.'
Yeah, but Dalmy is pretty, has refresh, and helps with the retarded taru MP... he was at something like 1460. I think he did max mp gear where he could to keep Garuda out for as long as possible? For the record though he had the torque, earring, evoker's ring, relic horn, hands, +1 legs, and +1 af feet, as I recall.
Don't remember back/waist off hand though, but I'm pretty sure the back was whichever sea mantle has + Smn skill.
Not sure if he had Yin Yang, but I'd imagine he does, and I think he was trying to keep enough mp to toss me cures since he didn't realise I'd be keeping Garuda from eating feather tickles while /Dnc and cover that.
trying to figure out how to refactor my rdm merits after the update. since my rdm is used virtually exclusively in salvage, it's very very very very undermerited so it's nearly a blank slate to work on. my previous plan was to cap out phalanx2 and slow2, but recently we got a sch for our group which completely eclipses my p2. i'm considering dropping it for full slow2 and para2, but i'm curious about a couple of factors. first of all, will slow2 eventually cap out? if so, what is needed to hit that cap? if you can do that with 3/5 rather easily, might it make sense to keep a couple of p2 merits around instead of finishing it? as for the para2, i hear a lot of tepid responses to the results and i usually hear people say "if you don't go 3/3, don't bother." is there any significant testing anyone has on the topic to try to discern if the change from 3 to 5 will move para from "well it ain't THAT bad" to something more reminiscent of roar, blaster, or a similarly crippling mob para?
This is more of a, "Math and I don't get along" thing, rather than just being lazy.. So humor me![]()
Would anyone be able to tell me the Haste required for capped Utsusemi: Ni recasts as RDM with:
Duelist's Tabard/Warlock's Chapeau/Loquacious Earring
DT/WC/LE/Haste(Spell)
DT/WC/LE/Haste/Victory March
DT/WC/LE/Haste/Victory&Advancing March (Sources say 4%, just for clarification)
Belkin's LJ says that with all of the above(option #4), all that's required is 4% Haste from a Swift Belt to cap your recasts, and I've attempted to backtrack from there, but I just keep getting strange numbers that I don't think are accurate.
Thanks in advance 8)
DT/WC/LE leaves you at 21% recast reduction base, 36% with Haste, so you need 14% from other sources. Double March would cap you out, Victory + 4-5~% if getting March/Ballad.Originally Posted by Tsuko_Asura
Thanks a lot!
<_<; Edit:
Courtesy of Belkin's LJHead: Warlock's Chapeau Spellcasting Time -10%, Spell Recast Time -5%
Body: Duelist's Tabard Spellcasting Time -10%, Spell Recast Time -5%
Earring 1: Loquacious Earring Spellcasting Time -2%, Spell Recast Time -1%
Waist: Swift Belt +4% Haste
The above setup, coupled with haste and double march will reach the lowest Utsusemi recast timers.
Note: You can achieve 15 second Ichi without Swift Belt. Unfortunately without Swift Belt, your Ni timer will be 23 seconds, instead of the minimum of 22 seconds.

Does anyone know the initial accuracy down from White Magic Flash?
A freaking lot? I don't recall landing a hit during the second after flashga in a while.Originally Posted by VZX
Unless I wooshed something the recast reduction cap should be 50% regardless of what spell you're using, although maybe I missed something and I'm wrong there.Originally Posted by Tsuko_Asura
SCH about to hit 56, should I switch to /WHM for stoneskinga rather than /RDM or just wait?
I know the link is somewhere posted in the newbie section, but if somebody has it, much better that trying to come up with obscure search terms.
It is a site where you input the job, and what kind of gear you want and it shows the best options.
Edit:
Found it!, page 23, First Random threadhttp://myffxigear.kicks-ass.org/
HLAP!
Installed Windower 3.4.
Launched it.
All my POL accounts were gone from the first POL screen before you log on.
I seem to recall this being a bug that happens from time to time, tried to search Newbie forum, but nothing came up, just confirming that it's really a bug - or should I be panicking?
Anyone find out the stats for Octopus sushi and shrimp?
An would anyone happen to know where I should go fishing at lv 10 or know a good guide?
Think i just made the POL accts again, the info is stored in the user folder I think, better to just, make them again and copy over your macro files, that should do the trick.Originally Posted by Lexa
As for the fishing, somepage had/has a nice guide at least is what I used.
