    Switching nations costs gil based on the conquestion position of the nation you are switching to. If I recall correctly, 4k -> 10k -> 40k for 3rd -> 2nd -> 1st respectively.

    Didn't want to make a seperate thread, but couldn't find confirmation on this either way.

    Is einherjar scaled in any way at the moment? That is, if I enter with 18 people, are the mobs weaker than if I entered with 36 people?

    No, this is has been one of the largest complaints about it since they added it.

    No, no scale down for Einherjar as of now. With some experience and the right setup, 18 ppl can clear Wing 1 and 2 lucking out on the number of waves. In wing 3 though, you'd need a very good/well geared group to win it consistently.

    Odd idea with RDM + COR. If I go /brd or /nin on RDM I'll only have 1 JA, Convert. Will this mean that a Random Deal will automatically restore that?

    I believe the COR would have to have at least 1 merit in Loaded Deck for it to work that way, otherwise without the merit RD can still miss altogether I think.

    Just hit PLD75 like 3 days ago and I have several questions. First off, current gear setups (ignore the sub in the pic, I'm getting ready to go try and cap my shield on Pucks. ):

    I swap in harm torque and warwolf belt for cures but I know there's alot of room for improvement there. Should I be swapping in Valor coronet, glt. gauntlets, and glt.breeches for cures as well? I realize the haste doesn't do anything for cures, but I'm not sure if blinking is worth the +4 enmity at the moment. I like to think when I get more enmity in the gloves/pants/boots slot that I will swap them in for cures. For flash I do pretty much the same thing, keeping on as much haste as possible while swapping in enmity in the other available slots. I'm a bit confused as to where the cut off point should be in a certain slot for keeping haste over enmity. For Ichi, I swap in Glt. leggings +1, shield torque, and buckler earring and do the same for :ni except keep dusk on.

    My biggest problem with the build right now is the BQ ring, but I'm really not sure what to use in it's place. I currently have a jelly ring that I could use on /war, though I really dislike jelly. For /nin I think I'm going to work on getting a mermaid ring and just use BQ for swapping in to cure when I'm near full HP. I don't think I'll be getting a shadow ring anytime soon, and I know I won't be getting a d.ring. My next problem with it is the earring slot. Ethereal doesn't do a whole lot of good when I'm not getting hit so getting a Hades earring(+1) is on my list of things to get. I don't currently do HNMs, sky, einherjar, or salvage, so things like assjammer, m.head, baha mask, ares's, ritter etc etc are out of the question.

    As for things I'm currently working on (not in any particular order):

    Valor gloves/legs/hands/body
    Currently top of the list for all of these.
    Askar Manopolas/Gambieras
    My disc is @96 so this won't be too much of a problem.
    IR dastanas/sallet
    I hate campaign
    Joyeuse
    Assjammer
    Might be able to leech one off a shell that's capped on them
    Boxer's mantle
    Lamian kaman +1
    Homam Gambieras
    #2 on the list
    Hades earring(+1)
    An MDB set.

    I'm sure there is more that I'm leaving out at the moment, but suggestions would be nice.

    As for merits, I have already unlocked chivalry, Lv.2 Sentinel, and had capped shield merits around 60 . With the update coming soon, I think I will cap chivalry, Guardian (something like 95% enmity loss reduction with Lv.5?) sentinel, and cover duration. Fealty might go to Lv.1 instead of capped guardian but I'm really not sure how much I would be using this with the current activities that I participate in.

    Lastly, maybe it's because I just hit 75 and I haven't had a lot of time to play with them, but macros seem like hell for PLD. So much situational shit that I seem to constantly have my notepad opened playing with which piece I want on etc. I think I just need to get a bit more experience on PLD to really know what I'll want for most situations and build the macros from that. I currently have macros for applicable JAs, a few WSs, and Cure 3/4. I know need to make a macro that drops hp+ gear and adds it back in to cure myself when I'm not taking damage.

    Tips? Suggestions? Tricks? Am I at least on the right track? Sorry for the long post, I just like to get it all out there at once so I know what to be working on. Also, thank you to everyone that has replied to my posts in this thread, I don't always reply back but most of the replies have been very helpful.

    Bumping my question from last page since it was lost near the end of the page and adding another. In nyzul last night we had a kill all floor with a Wivre that our DRG killed in one shot. We've had this happen once before only it was when our MNK Chi blasted the wivre. Can anyone explain this?

    When stealing coins, do all mobs(of course mobs that you can steal coins from) have them innately? Sometimes, I'm trying to steal from a freshly spawned goblin over and over and have failed results leading me to believe sometimes goblins can spawn with no coin on their purse. Can someone shed some insight for me please, or am I just having bad luck stealing?

    Sometimes Wivres and Womouras die in 1 hit, it's random though.

    I'd assume that all mobs that you can get an item from, have them from the beginning. It depends on your steal gear first of all, and after that it's just luck for stealing coins. There's really no way of explaining it.

    No, you're doing it right. I myself couldn't find any testing on the HQ relic. Thanks for comfirming they're indeed 5%. Some shmuck had them listed as 7% on the wiki but I reverted it back until further proof. I assumed they'd be the same just like Sorcerer's Gloves/+1.

    btw why'd you go for the HQ? Normally it's gloves > hat > "insert here"

    What NIN WS should I be using pre-jin..? Retsu does meh dmg, and the others ones are also kind of meh... I haven't really tested the 1 hit WSs a whole lot, but To did decent dmg.

    af1 horn will increase smn skill cap, which will help with the damage, relic horn is -bp, so it's whichever. Just saying, +smn skill will help the damage, just like it also increases elemental siphon.
    Fairly certain you can BP with -bp, swap to +skill before it gets off and get the benefits from both. So it's not really whichever, it's both.

    I idle in them, so it was mostly white box factor ;p that and the only other thing in tav I'd want would be pantaloons+1, which I'd rather let someone that plays WHM at nearly every event get. LS isn't point based.

    Stick with retsu then. Decent damage and the para can't hurt. I believe it opens and closes distortion as well, though I might be mistaken.

    I don't know why but our BLU had the exact same thing happen on one mob in there. Guessing some glitch. Or he hit the secret combo on his game pad >.>

    I have a MNK75 which I use only for Salvage and for fun and was thinking about merits. I will most likely max Penance after the update, since dual mnks can keep Penance on constantly now. However I was wondering about the other 5.

    Since I'm not doing any soloing or any real meriting (RDM is my solo and merit job), I was looking at Mantra. I figured that capped Mantra could possibly add about 20 dmg to every hit of a zerging KC DRK. Is that correctly calculated, and if so, is it worth it for zergs assuming that I really don't care what my MNK merits are used for except Salvage?

    They are not worth the time to camp them unless you need them for something else. Fuma Sune-ate/Usukane replace them end-game. Leaping boots are fine, or even Windurst Kyahan. I never worry overly about mid-level gear, you should have decent gear, but spending time camping an item that is of marginal benefit and replaceable is a time trade-off with leveling time.

    I would also suggest a Mighty Ring and Vision Rings.
