I have 50k AP: Perdu Hanger for BLU (which I rarely use, but the hanger is a huge upgrade), Perdu Sickle for DRK (Always use DRK, not too big of an upgrade), or wait for patch to see if one is obsolete?
I wasn't extremely impressed upgrading to Perdu Sickle for my drk, but it's sweet looking with Homam.
Anybody know where i can find download the ffxi calculator that has: merits, dynamis glass cost splitting, TPing and haste stuff and limbus coin calculator? I really need this thing again i reformatted and lost it.

heh. that wasn't my plan. been looking at other bc's and one that's always interested me was royale ramble but there isn't a hell of a lot of info out there about it. other than "don't cast on the king and make him go nuts" what information do you guys have? search on the site is completely useless for any productive data. does anyone have any working strats? info on pitfalls? comments?Originally Posted by amylea

What does FFXI-3305 Error mean? I get it whenever i try to log in and it just says unable to contact server or something.
edit: Nevermind, something is wrong with the Bahamut server I guess.
Tredecim Scythe is a cheap and a good alternative to Perdu Sickle (I use Tredecim). I read it's just as good, if not better for DoT also.Originally Posted by Maxxthepenguin

At the bottom.
I use Tred; Perdu is better. The question is whether I want to greatly upgrade the job I rarely use or marginally upgrade the job I always use.Originally Posted by Vaxx

I would wait too. A couple days isn't going to make or break you, but you will regret spending the points if something new shows up.
I need tips on soloing aerns. From what I've found on search, the ones in palace/garden are the best for drops (i specifically want NQ organs and tissue).
I'm trying the Eo' ones atm and it's pretty slow going, I'm camping in the first room of aerns and hoping that either someone else is helping keep the room fairly clear or that I can keep a link slept whilst killing my mob then running for zone if it reraises and I'm out of MP. With a partner it's a bit easier but I'd like to be able to not have to rely on finding someone to do it with.
Are there better camps (in palace or garden)? Any strats better than running, sleeping for mp before killshot? Should I just go back outside and grumble about the drop rate on Om'aerns?
*This is all as blm/rdm btw
I did most of my Aern farming as RDM/BLM, the Eo's are nice for the XP and the occassional HQ organs, you'll probably want those either way. I typically go through the west door in the Palace, go past the first group of Aerns, and camp in the room with the Euhvi. Just wait until the pull is clean and bring them back there, I personally like pulling with Silence so that they will come to camp quickly and not linger in the room making links possible.Originally Posted by Pendulum
I really don't like fighting in their pop room when there's a safer spot down the hall, they roam too often and too quickly, and a link can make a quick death if your first sleep gets resisted on it.
My friend just pointed this out to me, but if you merit Iron Will on PLD to 5 (after the update) and get 3 Spell interruption rate down merits, would that mean your spell interruption rate down would be be over 100% for the duration of Rampart? I know we can't know for sure yet, but am I getting the math right?
75 DNC question, not that I'm there just yet.
Walhara Turban vs. Panther Mask +1... is the Mask worth buying, since it has CHR +6 on it, which is good for Waltzes and Dancing Edge, but 2% less Haste? Purely "shit's situational" status?
Is it against the Newbie Advice section bylaws to point out the existence of macros in a sarcastic manner?

The math is correct. As it stands you are looking at 101% but my guess is that it caps off at some point. I can't see SE being that nice and having the spell interrupt uncapped. Wouldn't be that hard to test if you just throw a bunch of melees at a Paladin in Ballista and have him spam cure. As it stands, Red Mage can actually get 100% in gear.Originally Posted by ringthree
2x Hermit's Want - 50%
Druid's Rope - 10%
Willpower Torque - 5%
Nashira Turban - 10%
Mountain Gaiters - 5%
Magnetic Earring - 8%
Warlock's Tabard +1 - 12%
I use Turban. The CHR modifier isn't going to make that big of a difference unless you're piling on ALOT of it. Plus with Curing Waltz 4 I'm already curing for around mid-500s (I think, its been awhile) with AF Body macrod in.Originally Posted by ono
Mask would be good from 72-75 though.
