Open with ES Sleep II on the Minder, Gravity the Elder, then CS nuke it down ASAP, if it's not dead by the time Sleep wears you're probably going to lose. After that kite Minder around doing what damage you can, when ES is back up Sleep II it again and rest some MP, then nuke it down. Remember that they move faster as they get lower in health, keep Gravity up and make a decent amount of space before nuking. Really the big danger I'd see is being able to have enough MP to kill the Elder with 2 pools(I'm Elvaan, if you're Taru probably not an issue).

My strategy varies a bit, to accommodate for the short amount of time you have to kill Eldertaur.

Run in, Bind Mindertaur, Grav Eldertaur, 2-3 tier3 nukes on Eldertaur, ES, get ready for Mindertaur to come unbound, Sleep2, CS finish off Eldertaur.

The extra ~30 seconds given to you by Bind really does help to make it a lot less hit or miss.

Out of curiosity, do you drag Elder out of the BC then? Minder dropping Cure V's on Elder has been an issue for me before.

Would it be possible for someone to post a small list of WAR body armor for around level 75 that would be considered an upgrade over a Hauberk?

I haven't played much since the ToAU expansion, so I'm really far behind on the latest armor and weapons.

For the KS99 turtle, what would be the preferred tank(s) for it? It's just a bunch of BLMs MB two Darkness SCs and it's over from what I read. But being one of the BLMs, I'd like to not get eaten.

Is there a particular reason that people tend to turn towards Yoichinoyumi, and generally frown upon Annihilator?

Just from a mathmatical standpoint, Annihilator should have higher DPS, an easier time getting a 5-hit build, higher Barrage Potential, and more benefit from Rapid Shot.

Is it solely because of the Racc. bonus granted by Namas Arrow? Because while Namas grants practically no enmity, Coronach is a massive enmity reduction.. Which, in practice, would amount to the same thing.

Just from a mathmatical standpoint, Annihilator should have higher DPS, an easier time getting a 5-hit build, higher Barrage Potential, and more benefit from Rapid Shot.

I would hardly call Silver Bullets being screwed. <_<

But really, that still doesn't make sense. The combined damage of Annihilator/Silver Bullets is still significantly higher than Yoichinoyumi/Kabura.

I'm not rng but I'm pretty sure even with damage difference the STR:40% over .25 ftp and DEX:40% would make large difference in ws, if not idk why they do bow ask a rng.

Some people also did Gun LONG before people knew what the benefits of them were, and possibly just liked the Gun.

I know Bravura might not be the best all around relic, but no way in hell would I upgrade a Ghorn or Aegis or something.

Since Brothers was brought up, is there any difference melee-wise between the two? Thinking of starting to duo it with a sam friend (either sam&blm or sam&rdm) and just letting him use his 2hr to waste one. Didn't know if it mattered which he did - I've always just nuked them.

I chose bow over gun cause it shoots faster, ppa, namas usefulness(looks too!) and damage potential. i guess i got lucky when vshot came out after i had been moaning for soem sort of delay reduction. Anyways i remember reading on mikichan's blog a post about gun vs bow shorty after i got my yoichi, take a read for those who care. Bear in mind the post was long before vshot.

This will decrease the amount of Experience Points that are lost when you're killed. With this Moghancement you will retain at least 5% of the XP you would have lost upon death, whether you were raised or returned to your home point. It is confirmed that stronger Mog House elemental energy does not independently increase the amount of XP retained.

Sipahi Zerehs, assuming we're talking legs, suck; get RK Breeches instead if you can.

NQ Amemet isn't so bad, there are better things to buy with that price difference.

Venerer Ring, same deal.

Obviously the last two aren't ideal but if you're on a budget you could go far worse.
