Something I have thinking about since I got N.Body for my WAR.

On (SA) Steelcyclone I suppose its pretty easy, I assume Heca > Haub+1.

But on RR, Haub+1 or Heca and which in which situations?

More then just short answer would be appreciated

Not worth making ANOTHER coming back thread, so a simple post should be ok.

It's been a year since I last played, started at release and got too into wow in the past year. After finishing wow's content up to this point I'm just pretty bored lately looking for more to do so thinking of playing ffxi again.

I doubt it's worth starting a fresh character, but it could be, the only thing is, is money as hard to come by as it used to be? I have access to my friends account that he doesn't play anymore, but it's a taru melee (drk and war 75) so I could play on that character, but, I don't know if I'd want to be a taru lol. So would it be worth it to start over from scratch getting a brd to 75 then doing a melee thing or whatever, or should I just pick up his character and play it? Maybe at least fool around for a month to find out if I want to play again for sure and all, but yeah, I think I'm pretty sure. My 2 best friends IRL play and it would be for friends, not for gear so much. I just don't know how much better or worse it is now, or if I want to start fresh or just go with the taru melee (bleh, how bad are they really? lol)

What is an ideal NIN setup @55 (minue speed belt)? Should I get rid of luisant legs and get RK Breeches?

Personally i'd stack as much acc/att as possible at this level since spells are no longer very good for hate and you need to rely more on your DoT from Katana, i'd go RK Breeches over Luisant too yeah.

Do you have haidate to WS in?

Do you have Nhead, Vsallet, Askar head, or at least a Warrior's mask to WS in?

Can you get 100-110 Dex in your WS build with Nbody? If so, use it. If you can't get 100+ Dex with Haub +1, probably do just as well with Nbody unless your acc/att isn't that good.

Min-Max answer: Nbody when Bergressor are up, Haub +1 when they're not.

AFAIK there is not. I believe some sushis do have acc caps, but I'm pretty sure Sole and Squid are not among those.

I am a pretty casual player so some gear is out of my reach, and some stuff I havn't been able to obtain yet (due to friends having conflicting playtimes, not been assed to farm/craft for gil etc . . .)

But this is what is available to me at this time. Salvage, Einherjar and Dynamis is not an option for me at this time, I do go to Limbus, Nyzul, Sky and Sea with LS though which you can keep in mind when you suggest upgrades and changes. Also something in the range of 1-3 Milion gil is within reach for me to obtain (per item) but beyond that my wallet starts to hurt (Ramuh server)

Weapons: Perdu Voulge, Rampager
Straps: Pole, Claymore
Range/Ammo: Bomb Core (this will be a fire bomblet within the next few days actually trying to farm one )

Head: Optical Hat, Walmart Turban
Neck: Chivalrous Chain, Snow Gorget
Earrings: Brutal Earring, Fowling Earring, Minuet Earring, Assault Earring

Body: Haubergeon +1, N.Body, Askar Korazin
Hands: Alky Brc., Custom M Gloves, Dusk Gloves, Askar Manopolas
Rings: Rajas, Ulthalam's, Sniper's, Eucphoria

Back: Amemet +1
Waist: Potent Belt, Warwolf Belt, Swift Belt
Legs: Haidate
Feet: Askar Danastas, Dusk Ledelsens, N.Feet

I believe ancient magic were some of the first spells that were discovered by the Tarus way back then during the "Age of Magic".

<_> That doesn't seem possible and it would definitely be a hack if it is possible. Your character HAS to disappear in order to change visible gear. Unless you're talking about losing target when someone ELSE gear swaps, that's probably doable but still, meh.

/SAM Hasso and eat Meat. 2 Handers should rarely need sushi on any mobs with good gear choices.

If you are doing Mamool north camp, and you are short of Ace, Adaberk, acc7 rings, I recommend Sushi, unless you want to stay under the 85% acc range. Otherwise, and by the pit, I recommend Arrabiatta if you have any store tp setup, or just go with Red Curry, Dragon stuff, H.Pie is very nice too.

pDif Cap means you're swinging roughly 2 and a half times your targets defense.

Assuming the mob has 300-400 Defense, well, 750-999 will be capping it.

Unfortunately you gotta toss in level correction, so .83 that number and you see that against targets with decent def buffs, or certain non-squishy targets, it's pretty much not going to be possible to cap pDif.

As long as you can swing 2+ pDif with 85~95% acc though, you're going to be raping face.

Do you have to finish the Mammet fight for 2-5 before she'll offer the quest? I'm on Ancient Vows but she only says something about traditions.
