So the other day and today ive been killing fishies (hpemdes) for nq organs, and literally went about 5hrs with no drops, not even crystals, well actually, one light cluster.

Im killing the Om's back on the right side where prud is, I also tried the far left side. Do all fish have really crap rates? or maybe the ones in the tele areas have better.. or?

The Om should have better drop rates but they all drop pretty low rate... it went relatively fast with TH3/4 THFs helping when I did my 7 for Shadow Gorget. I definitely would recommend trying to find a THF friend to help out.

Combined with even normal Tonosama Rice balls that is pretty amazing. 150 attack +3 (or 15 if using the HQ) Double Attack from Food+head/foot/hand is pretty amazing. The Myochin Kote+1 and feet and nobushi kyahan even have decent (though subpar) stats alone.

Not parsed, but I use them all the time. Its pretty nuts in Nyzul Isle, works wonders w/ Jinpu as you can DA the shit out of it. With berserk I have around 750 ATT.

Overall I find it to be really effective but it seemed like there was a DA cap when I ate Shoguns. Should be around 30%-35% DA w/ Shoguns depending on what you count Brutal at with /WAR.

I personally love riceballs as its pretty versatile in something like Nyzul where I'm tanking and dishing damage, but I wouldn't think about using Shoguns on a Colibri party lol. Overall I prefer that build over my old Haste + in the hands and feet, although you do lose some STR in the head and feet slot for around -8STR but I think the +100 attack you gain more than makes up for it.

Lebros, the one with the Dahaks is quite good when you get used to it. It's fairly quick and easy doable with any 3 given jobs.

I would like to know as well. Or a good way to test it? I'm not very familiar with magic formulas.

Edit: Assuming MDB will work the same way as other damage, I could just stack MDB without the ring, then take it off and put the ring on, until it gives me the same effect as the ring on darksday?

i believe it's the opposite, like opo crown as i remember, equipping the crown while under the effect of the food bestowed the bonuses, kinda like a hidden effect.

Lebros the Dahak one as mentioned - Evade and Escape - is prolly the easiest. Just sub RNG or BST or something for widescan and it's easy.

Breaking Morale for Mamook was one we found really easy. Sub THF for flee if you can, BRD is nice for that for double paeon.

Regarding Breaking Morale, it is really easy to do with 1) +movement gear 2) experience avoiding aggro and 3) a mage job for stoneskin, regen and emergency sleep. RDM is pretty ideal but I've done it with blm also and we had few difficulties. Plus it's really fun running around disguised as a Mamool.

Now a few questions of my own.

What's the best Rampage hand gear for BST? Excluding e.hands. I'm WSing in thick mufflers atm, please say there is a better option. A friend suggested alky's but I don't like the -dex, they seem like more of a 2hander piece. Are Tarasque +1 acceptable?

At 75 (still 73) I will have approx +70 acc in WS gear, and about +45 acc in TP gear, including maneater bonus. Is this enough to eat meat before axe merits, barring lurkers and the fact that no one invites BSTs?

Finally, am I doing the right thing swapping virtue stones to tiphia sting for WS? I did search first but all I pulled up was the AV discussion thread so anyone who can remember the contents of the jailer weapon testing thread, please tell me.

Sorry if any of these questions have blindingly obvious answers, but BST is my first melee job and I'm using it as WAR practice.

Also a more BST-specific question: is any of the AF+1 worth upgrading? I've had an upgrade set for about a year.

I liked Apkulla Breeding for Lebros, actually. With the information on the Wiki, you can trio it pretty easily.

Double Agent or whatever for Mamook was nice for that.

Tarasque +1 would be good. Hecatomb Mittens would be another consideration.

I never found meat to be great on BST in merit, but my build is more towards Haste I guess. To me, BST DD is a lot more like NIN than it is WAR. A- skill with no traits/JAs for accuracy. I build for speed, with offhand Temperance, and wound up doing pretty decently...but yeah, still few invites.

The legs are pretty nice, though if you have Haidate you'd probably WS in those instead. To me it's more a matter of whether you'll keep using BST or not. Most people who take it to 75 wind up shelving it because it's just plain not desired for almost anything. That's why my upgrade set remains in storage.

A good lebros one is siegemaster assassination. My group did it with WAR/NIN MNK/NIN and RDM/BLM. The RDM subbed BLM for sleepga in case we had big links.

It went very well, but keep in mind everyone had above average gear/merits. I can't count the number of times it ended by the 3rd troll.

I would imagine its similar to Recycle for a RNG. You use angon ability but you don't actually waste an angon.

my understanding is that the bonuses only apply while the gear is equipped, but that you can remove the gear (losing the extra bonus) and then re-equip at a later point to regain the bonus. - this is different than several enhancement charge items, where removing the piece of equipment removed the buff 'forever'.

so basically, you can give up your food to create three fantastic buffs in various gear slots; provided you can get enough tonosonoma rice balls and don't find a better setup to use instead. (50 attack is a lot that's going to be something like .14-.15 cRatio at merit level - that could easily be 10% or more dps increase, depending on your current cRatio.) you'd have to remember to bias it for the fact that you lost 80-120 attack from your previous meat already though; so it may not be worth it when you add it all up. (since you'd be sacrificing 3 major haste slots to do it.)
