I don't get the point of your last post. To my understanding Barrage is still based on RATT and RACC, so all he was saying is if your ACC isn't that great on avg against HNM's go with Jaeger where as if it is good then go with Amemets.

for barrage I want the TP, dunno about you. The fact that if you miss one arrow you stop firing has alot to do with needing more acc for high damage too. (you don't get the luxury of a four hit where you miss the second hit like say, a drg using penta would.)

to the person who asked the original question: I'd use racc everywhere til I hit 95% accuracy (I'd parse but if it's above level 90 chances are probably good you're not quite there in your usual mixed gear setup) then start stacking ratt back in. back piece is a strong ratt slot so it might be one of the first you replace, but until you know whether you're capping out you're probably using racc everywhere.

Quick question, regarding KV and holding it till more can come. I'm not very good with kiting. Even with gravity, I can't hold hate well as mnk/nin, kite, and try look for the people I need to send tells to at the same time. Would it be possible to eva gear, swapping in haste for utsu, and have my rdm slow/para it (if these debuffs work) and just fight it that way till ppl can come?

Its accuracy is flat out terrible, but you have to remember that if you're going to fight it straight up and eat Earthbreaker which stuns you then if it opts for Death Scissors instead of Venom Sting afterwards you'll most likely die

Can just fulltime footwork and subtle bloo gear, feeds like less than 5 tp a hit. It'll TP 2 times in a row that quickly though?

its really odd, in my experience kiting it when it draws in and uses earthbreaker it uses venom sting/death scissors immediately after but kiting it just gets "too far away"

I hear it only does that draw in when one pulls hate from a distance he can't reach you. If straight tanking, I shouldn't be having that problem, no?

hmm. I guess I'll not use counterstnce (shouldn't need if its acc is as terrible as you say) and try to keep 2-3 shadows up at all times, as to absorb earth breaker. How quickly does he do the 2 apart? Slow enough for me to say cast ni before he would use the 2nd ws? Either way, I think its a better bet than trying to kite as mnk. If I get the chance to try, I'll let everyoen know how it went here.

Whats the lowest feasible amount of people to kill KV? I know he has a decent regen and is typically TP burned, but besides that I don't really know anything else.

4 decked kclub drks a competent rdm/drk and a brd could probably kill it, and to cream soda: theres a delay in between the 2 but not very long, kiting it we always stun after draw-in > earthbreaker so as to allow time to move away, I've never timed it, though

Upgrade your Windower and it should be fixed. I used to get that problem on my Macbook, and could solve it by toggling the "Show Borders" option. However, 3.4 works fine without any trickery.

i finally decided it's time to figure out how to efficiently maximize my smn's gear and i'm looking for some help/advice on it.

first things first: do the avatar accuracy effects from the af1 legs, the af2 hands, and the garuda headband stack? i've heard back and forth arguments about it for a while, but never seen any concrete evidence either way. does anyone know of any conclusive tests showing if it does in fact stack or if i can only pick one?if so, would i be better wearing an austere hat (no af2 head), oracles legs, af2 feet, and the smn af2 hands for blp?

second: i've got the af+1 items to make my +1 shoes, but i don't want to have to hold on to my whole set of af to make them as i'm horribly confined on space, so i'm going to have to re-quest them. do i need to repeat the whole af series of quests or can i just repop the toramari coffer on smn and re-obtain the feet? i just really don't want to have to repeat all the quested af (especially the coffers if CGF are poshack popping them for the gil) just to toss it so it's not blocking me from doing another af quest.

my proposed gear for activating blp/finishing blp are as follows assuming garuda. opinions, suggestions, flames, etc are welcome. please bear in mind though, that this isn't designed to be perfect. i'm on smn less frequently than paris hilton spends a night sober, so i'm not throwing down a lot of dosh on this build.

DRK is different from MNK, but with Crimson Cuisses and 3 stacks of Antidotes(still had some left over) I solo kited KV for 45 minutes and was never in danger, could have gone for longer but by that time everyone was there >.o I always see people complaining about not having Gravity to kite it (not you)
