Both BGWiki and the other list it as MND * (#Boost*Random#+1), and that with Temple Gloves, the random multiplier range is 0.75-1.10. If I'm applying this correctly, your minimum damage with full boost using AF hands should be MND*10 (12*0.75=9+1=10), but this clearly isn't the case. Just screwing around on random mobs in Gustaberg, I think I hit as low as 670 with 129MND, and never got up to MND*10, let alone exceeded that, so the 'accepted' formula seems to be completely off.
Is the formula listed just an incredibly old assumption that hasn't been corrected since nobody really cares all that much? Anyone have a better idea on how it works? Maybe there's some bizarre alternate order of operations in place, maybe I am completely retarded in my line of reasoning/basic arithmetic skills.
It seems fundamentally flawed, since if it worked in the described manner, your base damage for an unboosted Chi should invariably be your MND, e.g., MND*(0*random + 1), which obviously isn't the case.
Not a huge deal really as I don't use it all that much, just a matter of curiosity I suppose.
