Is it feasible to chainspell stun Gurfurlur teh menace down from 20~%? How many good DD's (mnks sams rngs)/RDM's you'd need to do this?
Are Dragoon's Wyverns actually Wyverns? I was thinking about this the other day while helping farm some wyvern skulls. Wyverns have two legs and two wings (with hand like claws on the wings). Dragon's look more like lizards, four legs no real wings. Wyrms have four legs and two wings, which matches a dragoon's wyvern a lot more.
Anyone else notice this?![]()
OK, I know I added to the confusion but I've just checked the specifics..
For SMN:-
You can request SMN legs and horn without opening hands quest by doing Class Reunion and then Carbuncle Debuncle. Unfortunately you can't do SMN feet without opening the hands quest which locks you into SMN and means to do other af I believe you'd have to finish at least the hands.
Hands, feet and body are all coffer related.
They are technically Dragoon Wyvern, there own category. But Wyverns outside of FF lore tended not to be dragons per se but rather an offshoot of the family. Also, Dragons in FFXI have vestigial wings but in Western mythos this rarely happens (and I believe that most Asian variations had no wings at all).
DRG was my first job and I leveled it about a million years ago now, but I think the implication in the storyline is that the Dragoon Wyvern is actually a baby Wyrm. Since their life cycles are far longer than the other races this could fit in the storyline easily, and at that point it just becomes an issue of nomenclature.
quick question, moliones sickle, perdu sickle, or tred scythe for drk.
Why did you post that in both threads.
just looking for an answer
1) Does Charm have a hard cap on success rate? 95%?
2) Anyone have data for charm success rate at min CHR for "should be able to charm" gauge message?
Whats the set acc bonus on Moliones ring/scythe?
Charm is never 100% accurate, even on TW. I don't know of a percentage value, but I assume that it should be something like that, since physical and magical accuracy both seem to follow that.
Mob families with innate Charm resistance, such as slimes, may have a lower cap. Based on how I've seen them work, it wouldn't surprise me, however I would classify that as a theory rather than tested fact.
I'm unsure of the base charm success rate. I think it's somewhere around 70%, but that's just based on what I recall from forums and not anything specific. A Light/Apollo's staff alone makes a large difference to it.
Is novia earring a worth while investment for rng. From what I can see as the available options to me for ear choices this piece would excel (atm I use Triumph/Vision for tp/ws). The other options would be second triumph, +2 agi earring (lol?), and the ladybug earrings for daytime, besides that not much else jumps out at me. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
novia is worth getting if you do alot of long fights, if you just use rng for zerg fight then dont get it
search my recent posts. I posted in some other topic just today (the one about sky mobs not really being blackmages maybe?) and it's kind of long so I don't want to repeat it.
I know there was a bit regarding -emnity in the Cerb Mantle vs Foragers Mantle topic. The outcome was basically that even if you continue to produce large amounts of dmg that -emnity really isn't going to help that much at all. Could look on page 3 of that topic was somewhere in there they were talking about it.
