First backup your POL Registry.
hkey_local_machine\software\playonlineus <- i assume
then.. Copy ffxi to that laptop into a similar folder as on your computer (Or you have to change the registry entries to the folder you have it in on her laptop)..
Copy the .reg file you made by exporting the above entry to her laptop and run it.


Then.. Make a .bat file (new text document rename to .bat) inside the playonline folder. and put this in it

That will register all the DLLs used by POL. That should also be the last thing you have to do. After that should just be able to boot up ffxi like normal.

I was thinking of soloing the Saurian helm NM in Grauberg as RDM.

Anyone who done this care to toss some tips? Mainly about which of the Ajattara is PH and is there any specific area/spot you'd recommend for killing it.

I think it's NW(might be wrong on the direction) of the spawn point there's a cave w/ a big rock near it outside, this is good for kiting around.

FYI the NM is super-resistant if not outright immune to Slow and Gravity, though Para 2 works well. He triple attacks often and hits like a fucking truck, though. Never tried to DoT solo it so not sure how well Bind holds out, but a THF can tank it relatively easily.

Friend of mine just bought the new vana'diel collection, he's wondering how to get his free 30 days, is it automatic when you create a content ID? or is there some code you need to enter somewhere?

Also, is a credit card required even during the free month?

interesting question. (my first reaction is "no" because it specifically says "minuet:" - but salvage activates assault latents etc, so obviously the labeling isn't necessarily literal)

rolls do activate 'generic song' latents, so I guess it would come down to whether or not each roll counts as a specific song or if they just meet the same category requirements.

Well, the NM itself doesn't hit -too- hard. It's it's add effect for what, 70? That makes it super gay. I've doued it before, but definitely soloable, I would say.

Yeah I don't remember exactly what it did in terms of damage per hit, I just know that the first time we tried it we weren't really prepared, THF died and the thing dropped me in like 3 seconds.

The only thing I'm iffy on in regards to solo was it seemed like a Hippo wandered kind of close to what looked like the best kiting spot, but I'm sure there's a spot there somewhere.

It hits for like 100, which isn't rly that bad, but it's add effect is QQ. Where Nours and I killed it, was uhh... Near it's pop spot, on the side of the mountain. F-9, the top of the square, in that spot I think.

Bizarro. When Tempyst and I first started duoing it we racked up 6 or 7 maneaters in a very short period of time, and then went a little over a year without seeing one.
