Thanks for the responses guys.

I'm not too worried about the wind immunity and such, Guivre and Ungur are like that too. (Well not sure if they're actually 'immune' per se but goign rdm/nin I don't think I've landed gravity on them, not that I've really tried though) The only things that sound gay are double-attacks and the area it pops in. I tried running around a bit and checking if there were any safe areas to solo but it's pretty much hippos/wyverns all over. If needed I can probably do it just in the middle of them and try dodging links and aggro but that doesn't sound too appealing.

You could also try pulling it down the waterfalls to the SW, theres the old house 2 levels down with no aggro mobs around it. You'll have to keep an eye on claim going across the water and whatnot, but it shouldn't be too difficult and would be a nice kiting spot.

On wiki it says the Double Attack on WAR AF1 feet is 1%. Someone told me it was much more than 1%, just wondering if anyone has ever tested it and can confirm that its x%?

It's been tested for sure, but if it's not 1% it definitely isn't much more than 1%.

it wouldn't be impossible for it to be 2% but it's certainly not 5%.

you can test it yourself without too much difficulty, get a low delay weapon and go chill fighting that first wall in lebros assault and start counting.

pedantically, 100%.

realistically probably either 50 or 80 if indeed it caps at all.

you may be able to test if you combine a warrior and a corsair using fighter's Roll on an XI. (I believe warrior can get to 29% DA himself) it would be necessary to test for a gear cap as well.

I believe the highest possible DA rate right now is about 54% (the above setup) but that's just a fast guess.

SAM/WAR with the Rice Ball gear and the DA rice balls might work better...even then when Tan did that in our Nyzul runs it really seemed like his DA was hitting a lower cap than it should have, but this was all eyeballed/anectodal so obviously we could be way off.

Edit: Blah I guess it'd be hard to discern a DA with a missed first hit from a Zanshin proc too, unless Zanshin TP return is different.

you could merit the zanshin tp return for a couple points.

used to be sam/war could only get about 24% DA (/war+askar+2 rice ball pieces+DA strap) can get 29% now. - which is basically what I think war can get but saves you the trouble of getting full ares.

if you know a sam/war with all three riceball pieces willing to waste a merit or two on zanshin TP bonus you could test similar caps but would need to test for independent gear caps etc.

But yeah my experience with a Shogun Rice ball, the 3 Riceball pieces, /war, Askar Body, and Pole strap, and Brutal. Calli was right though, eyeballing it my DA seemed a lot lower than what it should have been. That toal gear should have been 15% Riceball Gear, 10% /war, 2% Askar Body, 2% Pole Strap and then the 5% from Brutal for a grand total of 34%~. I think thats the most DA gear any job can wear/get and with a War in the PT and a 11 Fighter's roll (~24% DA) would be a grand total of 58% DA. I seriously doubt 58% DA is possible and my guess on a Cap is probably around 25% at the most. Thats simply from eyeballing it when I burn those 20k Shoguns.

And I have Ikitoshen merits already you tool RDM <_<;; If we want to test it I probably should lot a Ito or from Dynamis-Bastok so animations don't blend together or anything.

no sam is using all 10 of his cat II merits on xp mode traits/abilities (since there's really only one of four that's relevant) it's just a matter of whether or not you're willing to waste the 3-8+ merits it would take to temporarily roll a point into ikishoten.

some samurai may already have ikishoten merited since other than overwhelm nothing in the category is really zomg 5points here.

But yeah that was irking me that it seemed to cap lower, although if there is a 'gear cap' my big question is if the food effects and the gear effects are separate, and if Fighter's Roll just lumps on top and is independant of the cap.

What would be a decent sample swing size to test on? Can just find some Fortifications and not put tags on probably.

just don't wear haste. with 7.5 seconds between swings (normal 450 delay) you can't possibly blend attacks.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a gear cap. that said, I think 25% global cap is low (I would expect that minimally, if a cap exists, a full ares warrior + brutal + merits would be within the cap, since SE seems to have taken pains with the other sets - notably haste on usukane - to keep within gear caps on the sets. and a full ares warrior + brutal + merits is the aforementioned 15%+7%+5% = 27%(29% with strap).) since a warrior's roll on XI is already 24%

1. AV has been killed without the Goblin Footprint/Wall of Justice glitch, yes, but as far as I know AV has not been killed without being "glitched" or "locked" in some manner.
