Can mistral axe hit wyrms in the air?
Can mistral axe hit wyrms in the air?
You are repeating yourself, and you are also kind of missing the point. There is no increase in the number of WS's. You are just giving someone else one of your WS's. If you are going to argue that it is still good because you can give someone else 60TP once ever 15 minutes, then I am just going to start ignoring you.
I guarantee you pretty much every SSR my group gets an extra WS out of it (Sekka is on cooldown and I get to 200tp OR an imp amnesias while meditating and I hit 300 and use both Sekka and Shiki).
And yes, I am repeating myself because you quote me, talk about giving 60 TP and completely miss the entire point of that statement. In the end, it doesn't really matter either way, it is rare that either of the 2 options will make or break something you do. You apparently like having a stun slightly more often, and I prefer an ability that gives me both versatility and a slight increase in overall damage situationally.
Whats better for THF SATA WS, Heca Feet or Marine M Boots? Difference is 3 STR vs 2 AGI -3 CHR. Shark Bite in Marine, DE in Heca?
Also, because I want to hear some opinions ... is Heca Legs +1 worth the money vs NQ? The only reason I haven't HQed another piece of Heca is because I know if I ever want to, the abj isn't that hard to get ... which really isn't the case with legs. 0/6 so far on the synth, which NQs barely ever sell for 300k and angel skins @ 450k. Or I can buy an HQ pair for like 7-8m ish, which is insanely high imo. The whole thing doesn't seem worth it to me, but I want to hear what some other people have to say about it.
I use dragon leggings til heca. AGI never really matters imo. The -3chr will only affect DE. I'd use Heca.
BLM AF+1
Body recommended first? Legs and feet worth bothering with?
Depends what youre going after.. lots of people like hat because theyll use it in place of DH. Body is only 2 more skill, and you can rest in it, but wont replace Erra/Maha coat cuse youll need it for SS anyway. Get feet if you have no hMP in that spot, same with legs. Though legs have -enm when using for dark spells. Hands are a nice extra 3INT instead of 0 when using hands for ele skill.
On your sig I see "BLM RDM". I'm assuming you do a lot of exp'ing with BLM and probably go to HNM on BLM if you do HNMs at all. If that's the case it would be:
Body > Hands > Hat (if you're interested in hat at all)
Legs only offer an extra -1 enmity and a loss of +5 evasion. Feet don't have anything good either. Both pieces offter hmp +1 but you probably already have that or even more with ZNM gear. Only reason you'd go +1 on everything is if you like white boxes lulz
Have fun~
i'm assuming since you're rdm, you have full enf merits and your enfeebling gearset is pretty well setup (HQ staves, genie tiara, oracle's gloves, igq legs, etc) so i'm not sure how often another 2 enf skill will help. that doesn't mean don't get the body, it's wonderful both for enfeebling and for resting in to increase your max MP to buff from before switching to nuking/stoneskin set.
especially if you don't have a sorc petasos/morg coronal/DH+1, you probably pretty much live in your pointy hat, so upgrading it is a very good choice. while the upgraded effects may not be jaw dropping, the little extra oomph is quite nice. also a decent resting piece if you lack an oracle's condom, goliard hat, or that funny HMP hat from the mamool whm NM (volunteer's khud or w/e it is).
the hands are also very attractive if you find your blm wheeling out to the more resistant targets where you have to stack int and ele mag to avoid resists. if you nuke tiamat or ouryu very commonly, these may be a good way to go for you, but if you find yourself with zenith mitts on more often than not (or morrigan hands if you're so lucky) then these can be passed on till third.
feet are a joke. if you want HMP feet, go get goliard shoes, avocat pigaches, or numerist pumps (which are actually 3 HMP, not 4 like the description says. mistranscribed to english b/c SE's QA is crap) all of them offer triple the HMP you find on those shoes. only use for them is if you're in a situation where spell interruption is a major problem and you need to get a sleep off and HQing them doesn't really do much to help that.
legs are mediocre. -1 more enmity on stunning isn't a bad thing, but nothing to write home about. 1 hmp on leg slot is also uninspiring. get yigit or oracle's pants for double the HMP.
the order i went in was head>body>hands and eventually i'll do legs>feet just because i <3 whitebox.
Hmmm WAR Cat2
5x Charge and... 5x Savagery? 4x Savagery and 1 Toma? 5 Toma?
Is it just me or does the first merit of ikishoten return 6 TP, and not 3? I have two and I seem to be consistently getting 9 extra tp
Debating what to lvl nxt, i have THF+BLM+WAR at 75. My finalists i've narrowed it down to are RDM or SCH. a majority of my gear transfers over to both jobs(everything but af/morri basically). But im unsure if i should do one of the other since i already have morri, but sch is so <3 D:
I was just running through South sandy (s) and I saw a Moogle appear pretty far away. He was really high up in the air, and when I got a little closer he depoped. He was around the ramp leading to North Sandy, so my question is has anyone else seen something like this? It wasn't a firework because I was able to target the moogle and nobody was under it. I didnt think to take pics because I didnt expect the depop, but I will keep an eye out for it again.
I upgraded Petasos first long ago, but that was well before the implementation of Goliard gear so both the hMP and combination of INT/-enmity for nuking was greatly appealing to me. Even now it's the hat I use most often for nuking, and I also have Sorcerer's Petasos and Demon Helm +1. When I finish my Morrigan's set I'll still keep it with me for use in conjunction with situational non-Morrigan's gear in the five main slots that causes Coronal and Pigaches to lose their usefulness in a nuking setup (i.e. Wizard's Gloves +1, Sorcerer's Gloves +1, Sorcerer's Tonban).
It's a pretty underappreciated piece, although that said Coat +1 and Gloves +1 are very nice as well. If I were to lose all my AF1+1 and had to start again I'd probably go Gloves > Petasos > Coat, but really it's up to you since they're all great pieces. Tonban +1 are for completists only and Sabots aren't even worth mentioning.
Do you fight Wyrms/do Limbus/HNM/Dynamis/and any other situation where you'll get significant benefit from reducing magic resistance for Blm's, and reduce resistance for yourself/other melees too?
5/5 Toma would be winner then, but keep in mind they're not super cheap, close to 30k a stack from the NPC as I recall.
Do you use Toma once in a blue moon? Warcry is usually used when it's up, 5/5 WC, 1/5 Tom, 4/4 Sav with Warrior's Mask macroed in would get a lot of benefit from the TP bonus (40% for you, 20% for everyone you hit with it) for 30~45 seconds, and is what I'm doing (still got another merit to cap Sav out, always forget it can go past 3) and while you won't specifically notice it, it is definitely there.
Is Merman's a suitable replacement for someone who doesn't have Sea Access and thus no Brutal? My schedule blows cock so I've been slowly dragging along.
This is regarding Nin (I have Kitty pants/Perdu/etc)
I'd use Diabolos's Earring, or Minuet if you have a Bard, over Merman's.
Yes. i've done it lots on Ouryu when we used the sleep on the ground and nuke in the air strategy.
i went 5/5 WC/Savagery. found i never used tomahawk at all except once in a blue moon.
as for aggressive aim, i have one thing to say: hahahahahahahahahah
