Terra's always. Unless Genbu's has an extra hidden that sets it apart from other size1 shields, you're probably not going to make up the 10% difference with 180 (or even capped at 210 for that matter) skill.

Addition: you're probably also not taking hits consistently enough that the expected value is even a useful guideline. Just go with Terra's for the consistent reduction.

Bio yes, Dia I think it should, and Poison doesn't have initial damage.

It's basically making fun of bandwagon SAMs(also known as Wal-Mart SAMs) who sport the cheap Hachiman Domaru like it's a fantastic piece of gear, while the old standard Haubergeon is for the most a much better piece in every facet. Not that it's a sin to not be able to afford a Hauby right off if it's your first job and you're working towards it, but many seem to act like their Hachiman Domaru is like Relic+2, in which case they're a tad fucktarded.

Spinning Slash will probably beat out Retribution due to the higher fTP and higher base D on Great Swords compared to Staves. However, Primate Staff is really nasty DoT-wise, except you'll need to eat Pamamas. You've also got the 19 base skill difference to consider.

It's probably a toss-up though, depending on which weapon/food choices you decide to go with. I've always liked Staff better than Great Sword, but I've not used GS enough for my opinion to matter.

For doing Blade: Jin in merit parties... what would be the best hand gear to use?

I had been using just okotes, but I've recently obtained both Koga Tekko and Ninja Tekko +1. I don't get to play my ninja very often, as I also have whm, rdm and bard levelled, so until I get time to really test it, thought I would see if anyone has advice as to what would go best with Blade: Jin. ^^

I suppose it depends alot on how much STR/Attack you have in other slots, but +20 Attack in one slot is a pretty fat stack even at 75, I might be inclined to stick to Okotes unless you have a boatload of attack from other slots and not a lot of STR, then Ninja+1 would be very nice for it...if you're attentive enough to switch out of Kogas during the day maybe switch to kotes/ninjars, otherwise you could probably just fulltime Kogas if you're lazy.

Usukane Gote if hits are missing, Ochi during the day, Koga Tekko at night.

I build TP in Dusk, and swap to Bando/AF+1 depending on whether or not Zerk is active.

A couple pages into this thread: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/viewt...p?f=31&t=14088 and I posted some old results where I tested Koga at night vs. AF+1. For my gear set up and merits, I got better results using AF+1. Your set-up and merits might differ. I did that test before Perdu Blade hit the scene, and I was still using my Unji in my off-hand.

I'm new to this DRK zerg thing. Would Sable Cuisses be a better "Enhances Souleater effect" gear wise then a Gloom breastplate if i don't have Homam Pants but have an Ebody?
