Before I get flamed and told "put this on a fraps forum, fraps faq gtfo, etc. My problems is limited to when trying to fraps FFXI only.

So basically, I can't fraps anything without having the holy god of lag smite me with over 9000 S/R. Anyone have this problem? How did you fix it? Why is this problem limited only to FFXI for me?

Although the elemental enfeebles are hindering the opponent and "enfeeble" they are seen as elemental magic and not enfeebling magic to FFXI...

was tested somewhere on the boards here (use search if you want the original material.) increases the stat down but not the DoT iirc.

Concerning King Vinegarroon.

A few days ago I solo held him for well over an hour without issue. However, yesterday I was duo holding with another rdm/nin, KV kept deaggroing us over and over and over. We would spam spells for some emnity, dot him, the whole kit and ka-bootle, even seconds after a blind for example, he would stop, and go yellow. I've never had this problem before.

When I did it solo, I was mainly only casting Slow II and Grav on him, sometimes even running more than 30 yalms from him without any issue.

The only noticeable difference I could tell from yesterday's experience and most of my others, is that I was duoing, and there was double earth weather up at the time.

Anyone have any experience with this happening?

I've had him go yellow a lot when Earth weather was still up, even constantly doing normal RDM hate spells (Sleep/Sleep II/Dispel/Bind), never had the issue with no weather.

I may be wrong but I thought weather does affect scent tracking when it's up, I have that issue often when soloing Snolls waiting for the door to open for Brothers, they'll frequently go yellow on me midfight...however I haven't exactly tried it with no weather up to compare.

I would be incredibly happy if you could provide many complicated numbers to back up the analysis and not just say something like "lulz n00b staaf R bettr"

I am especially interrested in things like:

- Where would each option work better than the other and why/how
- A comprehensive mnd vs magic acc and how mnd affect potency

It's nothing scientific, but I generally go with
5 enfeebling skill = ~5m.acc (which is the equivalent of being "1" level higher).
2int/mnd = ~1acc
Why? Because that's how it works for almost every other stats, and it doesn't seem unrealistic



For sleep, bind, gravity, silence use staves and m.acc. You want those spell to land every time for a full duration.

For para and slow, you want to use as much mind as you can to increase the potency of those spells. There might be some rare HNM situation where you want to land those spell asap, but got with mind/int when you can.

I believe int help blind, but I'm not certain.

For those of you who have both PLD and NIN at 75, and have seriously tanked on both, is there any certain fight you would rather be on NIN than PLD?

I've been a NIN tank for around 3 years, but leveling PLD now and wondering if there's a good reason to keep my NIN geared to tank.

I love both my NIN and PLD, and tbh it's really a preference(sp) matter, you can tank anything on both, I prefer PLD for most things though because it's really easier imo, not sure how to explain it but I prefer my NIN on Tiamat and Jailer of Prudence, mainly because JoP hits me <100 and I have a full fire resist build on NIN lol

Does Amemet have Regain? Bastard spammed TP moves on me earlier at low health with only myself and my BRD friend hitting it.

Seemed more frequently than it could have been getting 100TP from us hitting it and it wailing on me.
